Withum is currently seeking a Manager to join our Forensic and Valuation Services Group in our Princeton, NJ or Saddle Brook, NJ office. Our Forensic and Valuation Services practice prides itself in understanding their clients' business strategies and needs. Their services include; business valuation, transfer pricing, economic analysis, and model validation. Withum professionals help clients make forward-thinking decisions about strategy, operations and regulatory compliance to help create long-lasting value.

Managers work on a variety of assignments, including taking substantial responsibility in performing valuations for financial reporting (purchase price allocation, impairment testing, stock options, etc.), tax compliance, transaction advisory, and other purposes.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

  • Managing & preparing valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (business enterprise, debt and equity valuations, purchase price allocations, impairment studies, and stock options)

  • Developing or testing compensation arrangements - must be familiar with Stark, Anti-Kickback statutes, etc.

  • Determining allowable fees for management or service agreements

  • Performing valuation analysis pertaining to business combinations (ASC 805) and impairment testing (ASC 350/360)

  • Assisting in projects requiring economic or statistical analysis, database management of large databases or model validation

  • Supporting the preparation of reports, letters, and other client deliverables

  • Performing in-depth industry, market, competitor, economic research and valuation analysis on a wide range of public and private entities using all accepted approaches and theory

  • Reviewing various agreements, documents, research papers, and market research with the intent of capturing salient points to be used for modeling purposes and then being able to clearly communicate the key drivers to others

  • Aiding in reviews of third party appraisals for audit support purposes

  • Facilitating certain work streams with the help of Associate-level team members

  • Training and mentoring junior staff

  • Adhering to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality

  • Reviewing and gaining a sufficient understanding of the necessary guidance governing the analysis.

The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or similar field (Master's/MBA Preferred)

  • 6+ years relevant experience in a financial analysis role

  • Understanding of financial statements and business tax returns required

  • Strong interest in quantitative and economic analysis

  • Knowledge of software packages including MS Office (Word, Excel including VBA, and PowerPoint) STATA, SAS or other statistical package is preferred

  • Experience with software packages such as Capital IQ, Mergerstat, RoyaltyStat, or Bloomberg preferred

  • Ability to program in VBA and/or other statistical package a plus

  • Capacity to work independently on projects

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills

  • ASA, ABV, or equivalent certifications a plus

VIEW JOBS 3/27/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-25T00:00 Clinical Data Manager is responsible for reviewing and evaluating clinical data generated from the imaging portion of sponsor clinical trials conducted in various therapeutic areas. Primary Responsibilities Ensures clinical trial databases meet project requirements by: * Performing all data management deliverables for assigned studies * Attending and participating in client meetings as requested Ensures the plan for data management is properly executed by: * Understanding the requirements for study implementation and data collection * Collaborating with project team to develop study-specific edit check criteria * Defining, running, and reviewing edit checks and resolving discrepant data * Maintaining organized, complete, and up-to-date study documentation * Performing study setup, including TF design, database structure, specifications, and obtaining and providing approvals as needed * Coordinating and documenting the receipt and processing of electronic or ancillary data received from outside sources (e.g., data received from other central laboratories, CRO's, or Sponsors). * Keeping supervisor informed of project status Ensures the accuracy and consistency of clinical databases by: * Reviewing data and identifying errors/inconsistencies * Collaborating with appropriate project team to resolve data issues * Tracking outstanding issues and following-up until resolution * Ensuring accuracy in manipulation and scrutiny of clinical data and that CDM activities are carried out according to regulatory guidelines Secondary Responsibilities Maintains Quality Service and Departmental Standards by: * Adhering to all Bioclinica Clinical Data Management (CDM) procedures, policies, and work instructions * Reading, understanding and adhering to applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) * Assisting in establishing and enforcing departmental standards * Participating in the review and updating of company SOPs related to DM Services Contributes to team effort by: * Working with internal staff to resolve issues * Exploring new opportunities to add value to the organization * Helping others to achieve results * Performing other duties as assigned Maintains Technical and Industry Knowledge by: * Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training Qualifications: Education: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Life Sciences or related field preferred, or equivalent experience required Experience: * 1+ years' experience in comparable position within the pharmaceutical, biotech or CRO industry recommended * Working knowledge of relational database organization and validation * Familiarity with SAS desirable * Experience working with office productivity tools including Word, Excel and Access preferred * Understanding of clinical trial terminology desirable * Proven ability in problem solving Additional skill set: * Ability to work independently in a group setting; ability to adjust to changing priorities * Excellent attention to detail * Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written * Strong documentation and organizational skills * Ability to project and maintain a professional and positive attitude Working conditions: Travel: 0-15% Lifting: 0-25lbs Other: Computer work for long periods of time EEO Statement Bioclinica is an equal opportunity employer.
