As a leader you will be a hands-on manager of a small time charged with designing, testing, and releasing features in a rapid iterative cycle. You will also do hands-on design and interact with our users, top-class teams of engineers in the area and around the world who have come to view SignalFx as critical to their own mission, to learn their needs and generate new product ideas. This is a unique opportunity to have defining impact on a complex and rapidly evolving product that is quickly becoming central to the development of modern applications.

  • Actively lead the team of designers, watching out for their careers, reviewing their work, and communicating around responsibilities and performance.

  • Interact with our users, understand their needs, and become their champion in the design process.

  • Develop new methods for making the voice of the user present in our design process.

  • Take the power of SignalFx and make it accessible to our users via an elegant and intuitive interface.

  • Find elegant solutions to complex problems, and communicate them clearly.

  • Follow through from ideation to realization, from brainstorm to the last details of implementation.

Basic Skills

  • 8+ years of UX, HCI, or related experience.

  • Flexibility, and the ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

  • At least one experiencing managing a senior team.

  • No fear of complexity.

  • Ability to fit into a highly collaborative, passionate, multidisciplinary environment, and work closely with other designers, product managers, and engineers.

  • Ability to see both the big picture and the details.

  • Strong visual communication skills.

  • Visual design skills.

  • User research experience a strong plus.

HOW YOU WILL HELP As a User Experience (UX) leader, you help define and drive the future of Automation Anywhere design. In this role, you will apply your passion for craft and design to guide research and design processes, mentor talented members of your team, and collaborate with leaders of other UX and Engineering teams to create innovative experiences across all of Automation Anywhere's products. You are a great design team leader, manager, systems-level design thinker, and visionary - with strong instincts and outstanding intuition - who will provide leadership and direction for a team of designers. You also take the time to understand not just the execution side of design, but the business aspects of the products as well. WHAT YOU WILL DO * Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of UX Designers; lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices. * Deliver a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time. * Build strong relationships and operating rhythms with leaders inside and outside their core product team to efficiently implement user experiences that are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed. * Foster Automation Anywhere's culture and principles within the group, while setting new standards in executional and operational excellence. * Be responsible for and effectively advocate for users in a fast-paced, corporate climate, imparting day-to-day design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between design, content, business, and engineering. YOU HAVE… * 8 years of experience in UX Design. * 3 years of experience managing and leading user centered design teams. * A portfolio of UX-focused work samples for web and mobile applications that demonstrates your design thinking.
