Staples USR is focused on our customer and our community. As Manager Travel Operations for Staples US Retail, you will be responsible for leading programs designed to provide travel and product related services to our customers. You will lead a team dedicated to supporting our stores and field leadership. This position will focus on continuous program improvements and execution to ensure programs launched to our field teams are easily executed, communicated properly and align with current retail objectives and organizational strategy.
This role will also be responsible for overall program management and vendor partnership to meet contractually mandated service standards and proactively address opportunities to ensure high levels of customer service.
Program Ownership:
Manage day to day operations of Travel Services businesses
Develop programs to support business execution and simplification for our store and field leaders
Manage the development, implementation, and adoption of tools to drive operational excellence
Maintain and improve upon fundamental core travel operational processes for retail stores
Lead a travels services support team and prioritize efforts to meet sales and service goals with a focus on vendor Acceptable Quality Levels
Escalation of technical issues related to hardware and software
Facilitate robust training program for store and field leadership teams.
Partnerships & Support:
Partner with business owners to operationalize initiatives.
Develop process improvements to simplify the business
Lead communication of business updates and objectives
Leverage business results and program feedback to drive growth
Utilize field feedback to address opportunities
Partner with field leaders to drive execution of activities under scope
Provide support to field for any program issues
Program Roll Outs:
Work with communications to review and streamline field messaging
Use appropriate vehicles to drive field adoption and execution
Maintain business related How to Guides resource materials as well as training documentation
Essential skills and experience:
7-10+ years minimum experience
Strong knowledge of Staples and or Retail Operations
Excellent analytical skills
Strategic thinker
Results oriented individual with the ability to influence outcomes
Strong interpersonal skills across functional areas
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks effectively
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated individual and comfortable with leading discussions in a team environment
