The Transaction Advisory Services Manager is responsible for managing financial, accounting and operational due diligence engagements.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or other relevant field, required

  • Master's in Business Administration, preferred

Experience:

  • Four (4) or more years of public accounting experience, required, preferably within a financial assurance or management consulting role

  • One (1) or more years of TAS experience, preferred

  • Experience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel, preferred

License/Certifications:

  • CPA, CPA candidate, CFA, or CA, preferred

Software:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writing

  • Ability to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of management

  • Exhibits executive presence, intellectual curiosity and analytical thinking.

  • Capable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunities

  • Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment independently and within a team dynamic while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional manner

  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose the most appropriate resolutions within the context of a transaction

  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of information

  • Excellent project management skills with ability to produce quality work with an attention to detail

  • Strong knowledge of technical accounting areas such as US GAAP and SEC reporting

  • Knowledge of IFRS

  • Ability to travel at least 30% of time

That's how we develop outstanding leaders who team to deliver on our promises to all of our stakeholders, and in so doing, play a critical role in building a better working world for our people, for our clients and for our communities Your key responsibilities As a Senior within Business Valuation you're likely to spend your day to day working on commercial issues, working with management on parts of the acquisition process and regularly undertake valuations for strategic priorities, with a focus on Intangible Assets Skills and attributes for success * Commercial - as part of the team you will regularly advise businesses on valuations issues with regards to acquisition or divestitures and provide fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings;. * Regulatory and Accounting - you will work with management as part of an acquisition process to understand how the value of acquired intangible and financial assets will impact accounting requirements;. * Taxation - you will regularly undertake valuations for fiscal purposes in the US market and advise clients on all aspects of US tax valuation issues;. * Intangible Assets - within the team you would specialize in the valuation of Intangible assets such as trademarks, brand names, core deposit intangibles, customer relationships, banking and other licences, patents, technology and know-how To qualify for the role you must have. * A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 2 years of related business valuation work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 1-2 years of related work experience.. * Previous Business Valuation experience. * Financial modelling skills including experience building models from scratch.. * Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects. Ideally, you'll also have * Previous valuation experience in professional services/Big 4 Firm. * Experience in the financial services industry * Financial modelling experience. * Achievement of or significant progress towards a CFA;. * ASA/AM designations are a plus with the expectation of one completed designation within a given timeframe.
