Job Summary:

The Manager, Training & Documentation leads crew training, onboarding, and documentation of protocols and process across productions globally. This highly visible role creates, delivers and communicates timely training experiences and documents in adherence with the most current production restart protocols of The Walt Disney Studios. The Manager, Training & Documentation will lead the Coordinator, Training & Documentation and will report into the Director, Crew Experience.

This is a 12 month Project Hire role


  • Drives creation of training materials and constant updates of key documents including but not limited to production protocols, operating guidelines, process mapping, training materials, update presentations to stakeholders, etc

  • Leads efforts to create and deliver creative, scalable and sustainable training programs and regular updates to a variety of stakeholders and audiences of all levels.

  • Meets regularly with partners in Human Resources, Business and Legal Affairs, Employee Relations, Enterprise Health & Safety, and Production Management to stay up-to-date with new information and issue management.

  • Partners regularly with the Managers and Supervisors, Health & Safety (H&S) on each production globally to ensure the most updates training materials and documentation are communicated to and understood by all involved with the production.

  • Partner with production to schedule and track weekly crew training and onboarding.

  • Oversee weekly onboarding with talent acquisition and human resources partners.

  • Manage the ongoing documenting of protocols and technical information

  • Create operating guides and tools for H&S team as well as film production teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience designing and delivering training materials and experiences

  • Experience with highly technical documentation and processes

  • Strong organizational skills including project management and attention to detail

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Software including Excel and PowerPoint and also Word, Outlook, and cloud-based storage platforms

  • Strong written and verbal commination skills and able to communicate with and present to key production executives and TWDC stakeholders.

  • Experience working in either a corporate environment or production management role and comfortable communicating with all levels in both

  • Leadership mindset and influence skills to drive change

  • Flexible attitude and driven work ethic in an ever-changing and evolving landscape

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfortable and willing to deliver training and communication virtually via Zoom

  • Desire to continue development of production industry knowledge

  • Flexibility with schedule to connect with teams in various time zones

SUMMARY This position coordinates the company's COVID (Corona Virus - 19) documentation and reporting programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Respond to basic COVID inquires from staff and managers including time off policies, medical plan information, and work site procedures. * Maintain databases; employee recordkeeping, data security and integrity, and personnel information reporting. * Maintain employee medical records, ensuring compliance with PII regulations, EEO and affirmative action requirements in addition to key company milestones. * Work with and process data using computerized spreadsheets and database applications. * Collaborate with HR Director, Managers and Supervisors to develop appropriate training, recording, and documentation procedures. * Collaborate with the company Training Coordinator for COVID training and related employee training progress. * Maintain awareness of all federal, state, and local laws and requirements of COVID as it relates to employment. * Determines acceptability of COVID testing. * Develops processes as needed for efficient functioning. * Identifies record storage and reporting needs. * Maintain confidentiality of applicant, employee, and proprietary company information. * Regular attendance is required. * Perform other duties as assigned. Job Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor of Arts or Science in Human Resources, Biology, Medical Science, or similar major. Equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree. * A minimum of two years documentation experience. Specific experience with COVID documentation and reporting highly desired. * Minimum of two years Microsoft Office experience, including Excel and Word. SPECIAL SKILLS * Knowledge of office administration procedures. * Ability to operate standard office equipment. * Understand government regulations and requirements and have the ability to transfer that information into formats usable for employees and managers. * Experience in a multi-company and multi-state setting is preferred. * Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. * Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyze and resolve specific problems and cope with deadlines effectively. * Contribute to the fostering of positive office morale. * Detail oriented, ability to prioritize multiple tasks successfully, analyze, and solve specific problems while ensuring deadlines are met. * Ability to work and communicate effectively with employees and management team to proactively meet and exceed employees' needs. * Communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with applicants, employees, and managers at all levels of the organization. * Deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
