Grow your career as a successful Trade Strategy Manager within ALG Vacations. In this role, you will lead actions to understand the needs of travel advisors and work across teams to create, drive, and execute initiatives to meet these needs balanced across corporate goals and objectives. Reporting to the Trade Strategy Senior Manager, you will lead the Travel Agency Advisory Board, connect the dots between the marketplace and corporate as the internal corporate voice of the travel advisor, and support travel advisor training.

A successful Trade Strategy Manager will:

  • Lead TA Advisory Board efforts, including meeting facilitation, guidance on discussion topics and action, and working with operational team for seamless execution.

  • Assist with in-person and virtual advisory events,

  • Connect the dots between the marketplace and corporate as the voice of the travel advisor in meetings and to drive action.

  • Provide in person ALGV Education at agency events and in-office.

  • Review and provide insight to travel agency communication tied to Trade Strategy areas.

  • Provide feedback and guidance on TA incentives.

  • Research and compare competitor polices vs. ALGV policies to develop recommendations for policy evolution and drive action.

  • Lead efforts to understand key travel advisor pain points and collaborate with key stakeholders to overcome them.

  • Collaborate with the training team to keep topics relevant and useful for the audience and ALGV.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to Hyatt's purpose, mission, vision, and core values.

A successful Trade Strategy Manager will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of travel industry work experience with strong communication and presentation background.

  • History of success developing, planning, organizing, executing, and measuring new initiatives.

  • Past sales experience highly desired.

  • Strong skills in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams.

  • Experience working with external partners.

  • Travel industry knowledge and experience highly desired.

  • Analytical mindset to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Excellent judgement and decision-making ability in crafting solutions while considering costs and benefits of potential actions.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to present to leadership and external partners.

  • Ability to successfully work across departments, functions, and skill levels; must be well-organized and able to multi-task.

  • Natural curiosity and eagerness to understand all aspects of the business and drive business growth through cross-functional partnership.

  • Ability to travel by air/car both domestically and internationally.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience with turning data into actionable insights.
