What you will do

  • As a partof the Total Rewards COE the position drives global Programs and manages largescale project for the organization

  • Ensurescost efficient and market driven Total Rewards procedures and standards

  • Supportsand maintains Total Rewards objectives and programs in line with businessstrategy, as well as the global JCI TR practices

  • Ensuresthat the JCI Total Rewards practices stay in line with the market and theglobal JCI compensation practices

How you will do it

  • Leadscompliance function for global benefits and supports global projects andprograms

  • Supportregional benefit design, renewals and ongoing administration and maintenance.

  • Leadcompany compliance with provisions of ERISA and other regulatory requirements.Work with providers, legal, and Finance department to prepare various reportsrequired by law to be filed with federal and state agencies.

  • Managevarious governmental audits

  • Managecomplaints by researching a resolution either to pay or to contest and thebasis for the contestation. Assist in investigating, documenting anddetermining appropriate solutions

  • Keepsabreast of changes in laws, regulations and guidelines

  • Manageissues on escalated employee complaints

  • Leadvendor relationships that support compliance

  • Leadconsultants assigned to support projects/specific country requirements

  • Supportdevelopment of global governance model for benefits and mobility includingroll-out, monitoring, and tracking

  • Participateas a member of the Global Benefits Leadership Team

  • Ensurethat all necessary documentation is maintained

  • Maymanage global, enterprise-wide projects utilizing the resources of otherregions

  • Ensuresthat the Global Benefit Leader and BU leaders are informed of activities andprogress

  • Collaborateswith other regional team members to ensure knowledge sharing

  • Collaboratewith and provide assistance to other COEs

  • Initiatescomplex analysis of organization's total compensation packages and based onmarket research and trend analysis recommends policy adjustments and forecastscost implications to business in order to remain competitive in the industry

  • Undersupervision formulates, develops and designs policies and practices in theorganization

What we look for

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master of BusinessAdministration preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 8+ years of experience with all facets ofbroad-based compensation North American region as well as significant exposureoutside of North America

  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles, namelyperformance evaluation, payroll, and benefits

  • Strong technical skills and understanding of thelegal, labor and economic environment of the assigned region

  • Ability working toward deadlines, multi-tasking andoperating in an environment with shifting priorities

  • Ability to build partnerships with yourcompensation team members, Human Resources and managers, even when they arelocated in other parts of the world

  • Strong attention to detail balanced with theability to "see the bigger picture"

  • Strong project management skills

  • Exceptional skills with Excel and other MicrosoftOffice tools

  • Experience with Human Resources systems

Come play a key role in increasing the size and productivity of the distribution system by partnering with leaders across the company and especially the Distribution function to design and implement advisor and distribution leadership compensation, bonuses, benefits and recognition programs that attract and retain key distribution talent as well as support the corporate strategy. The successful individual will work with leaders to evaluate and recommend innovative changes to programs and offerings while ensuring the total package supports the strategy while remaining compliant and competitive. The individual will do this by accounting for various perspectives and building financial models to assess the economic impact for various constituents. This individual will participate in the Field Rewards leadership team as well as work with a small team of consultants to develop the Field Rewards' point of view and may manage a small team. The individual will participate in evolving the infrastructure of the division to meet the needs of the organization. Specific outcomes of work include alignment and awareness cross-functionally with respect to compensation, benefit, and recognition design; recommendations for compensation, benefit, and recognition programs after assessing various perspectives; and points of view developed, documented, and shared. Specific efforts this individual could support include new structures designed to increase the distribution size, compensation for entities and teams, investment product grid development, non-product specific compensation programs, medical benefits, updating of bonus thresholds, recognition, and retirement benefits. What this role needs: * Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, accounting or actuarial science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; MBA preferred. * Eight years progressively responsible work experiences required focusing on issue and project leadership and financial and data analysis. * Three to five years experience working with NM field force preferred. * In-depth knowledge of field operations, including NM's field compensation and contracts required * 10-20% of time required to travel to district and/or general agencies. * Proven experience in translating complex technical information required. * Excellent written and oral communication skills along with the ability to build rapport and gain acceptance at all levels in the Home Office and field. * Ability to effectively influence outcomes and negotiate with key business partners. * Proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative and supportive relationships with the field force. * Strong problem solving skills required. * Experience using Excel or other tools required for research and analysis.
