Role Overview

Managers play an integral role in managing and mentoring our staff, leading our engagements, and providing exceptional outcomes for our clients. Managers are often the day-to-day leads for our engagements and thus are the face of the firm to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Passionate about changing healthcare. Our focus on the healthcare industry provides our teams with the opportunity to bring new and innovative solutions that directly impact our clients and their customers.

  • Problem solvers and critical thinkers. Managers guide the direction of their teams built off a hypothesis-driven approach to problem-solving, balancing the behind-the-scenes research and analysis and consultant-to-client communication and engagement to drive solutions addressing our client's most critical requests.

  • Lifelong Learners. We staff our engagements in a generalist model providing consultants the opportunity to learn new skills and healthcare industry segments. Our people gain exposure to a spectrum of client types, subject matters, and strategic challenges from project to project, a strong manager is energized by learning.

  • People first leaders. Our managers are responsible for the professional development and mentorship of our staff. Successful managers are passionate about teaching, providing feedback, and growth opportunities.

  • Drivers of success. Managers are responsible for the ownership of engagements from beginning to end, drawing on their own experience and ability to adapt to meet our client's needs and lead the project team.

  • Relationship builders. As project leads, Managers have significant opportunities to grow and maintain client relationships. Excellent communication skills, relationship management, and emotional intelligence are integral to success.

  • Committed to excellence. Managers are responsible for the storyboarding, overall direction, and delivery of quality work products for our clients.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • 6+ years of healthcare consulting experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Majors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields are a plus.

  • Experience managing and developing teams.

  • Enthusiasm to continue learning, challenging the team, and enhancing existing strategic solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous problems and environments, with an ability to apply frameworks to unstructured challenges.

  • Strong project oversight, organization skills, and attention to detail.

  • Genuine interest in and commitment to the healthcare industry.

  • Experience in Excel and PowerPoint. Tableau/SWL experience is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Hypothesis approach to problem solving.

  • Prioritization of confidentiality. Ensuring the security, confidentiality, and integrity of client information for yourself and your team.
