Overview and Essential Functions Golden State Utility is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for our Gilroy location who will lead teams and manage our project in the Gilroy and Morgan Hill area. The construction manager will plan and oversee all field activities including determining method of construction, workforce levels, material quantities, equipment needs, and work schedule.

It is their responsibility to make sure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in a way that is safe and follows federal, state, and local agency regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions: Utilize and provide to management meaningful and timely reports using key performance indicators to aid in managing the health of the project.

Ability to read, understand, interpret, drawings and specifications, provide input, and analyze data. Develop, maintain, and update project documentation. Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the job site.

Lead and direct daily activities of Foremen, Operators and Laborers Investigate complaints and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies. Work with contractors to complete projects within the given budget and timeframe. Assist with Estimating Communicate with customers, vendors, employees, and public agencies.

Forecasting month and year for each project and program End of month explanations for variances in the forecast to actuals Remove obstacles and empower Operations to be successful. Constantly managing and monitoring project progress, risk, and the quality of the customer experience Manage project level activities which include but are not limited to critical path monitoring/alignment, procurement, resource loading/forecasting/conflict resolution and critical path risk identification/mitigation. Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems.

Lead efforts to gather all project level status to report on project status to all stakeholders. Responsible for tracking change impact and delay impact Forecast and manage materials to facilitate the scheduled work on time and within budget. Qualifications 3-5 years' experience in telecommunications construction management Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.

Extensive knowledge of telecommunications construction projects, timelines, and requirements.

Experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction. Ability to create and maintain a positive and safe work environment.

Strong leadership skills, ability to develop and train and direct team to meet goals with excellence in customer service.

No shortcuts. Solid communication skills Self-motivated, accountable with excellent time management skills Extensive knowledge of safety regulations.

Certified in OSHA Competent Person, trench and excavation, confined space, OSHA 10-hour.

Computer proficiency with Google, Excel, Word, and experience using electronic devices including iPhone and iPad. Physical demands:

Working outdoors is subject to inclement weather conditions.

Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. Stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Sitting for periods of time during travel to jobsites.
