Job Description

Lennox International (LII) is a leading global provider of innovative climate control solutions for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment. The Lennox Learning Solutions team is looking for a Technical Training Manager that ensures World Class training is being created and delivered to our external customers. In this role he/she will develop a strong curriculum, deliver compelling training with hands on experience. This position will set training schedules, develop curriculum and collaborate with intercompany departments to ensure customer needs are met. Additionally, this role will monitor group performance based on approved KPIs and ensure all activity conforms to required standards. This role will report to the Director, Lennox Learning Solutions.


  • Create and review training needs, administer training plans, procedures and programs to meet internal and external training needs.

  • Coach, develop and train a team of technical trainers, provide a clear strategy and set clear metrics.

  • Collaborate with content developers, sales and marketing team to ensure content is created and deployed appropriately meeting critical deadlines.

  • Responsible for the development, execution and delivery of training material curriculum to technical employees including updating/refreshing outdated material.

  • Defining, documenting and maintaining training guidelines. Monitor training needs and act swiftly on dynamic trends within the Industry.

  • Manage contractor relationships, supervising operational and development activities among trainers, and ensure budget goals are met.

  • Develop lab standards and complete quarterly site reviews and audits as needed to ensure technical labs are within proper standards.

  • Lead all certification and accreditation pursuits within the Lennox Learning Center.



  • A minimal bachelor's degree and/or 8 years experience.

  • 5 years of management experience preferred.

  • APICS or equivalent certification required.

  • Expert knowledge of a wide range of assigned products and the application of diagnostic techniques and service aids.

  • Ability to apply learning theories to classroom situations.

  • Presentation skills using a variety of technologies.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

  • At least 5 years training experience preferred.

  • Creative, self-starter and highly motivated individual required.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while juggling priorities and tight deadlines

General Summary: We are currently looking for a Technical Trainer Manager specialized in CommScope Wireless products based in Richardson (US-TX) Duties and Responsibilities: * Build training material for webinars, online training, classroom trainings and certification trainings for CommScope wireless products * Develop and maintain certification training curriculum, and customize for operators as needed * Hold technical trainings for internal customers: sales, business unit and technical support * Hold technical trainings for external customers: operators, VARs, partners, building owners. Roles vary from RF engineering, installers, techs, NOC, and PM. Trainings are held online, webinars, on customer sites and at CommScope training facilities * Work with engineering and R&D to build, update and maintain training materials * Work with the global trainers to come up with best practices, and collaterals * Build, and maintain training hardware kits * Update all training collateral for new products releases, and new product offerings * Travel to customer sites to hold suitcase trainings * Provide feedback to Sales, Techcnail Support, PLM and R&D with feedback from the training session on product, services, process or documentation * Maintain high score on customer training surveys Skills Required: * Bachelor's with 5 years or Master's with 2 years' experience in telecommunications industry * Wireless technology competency * Ability to build and present technical training contents * Ability to break down complex matters into information that is easy to understand * Excellent presentation skills and ease to present technical information to various audience levels * Ability to grasp new concepts, and products * Working across groups, and products from sales, business development, engineering and product development * Knowledgeable about technical training development and delivery tools and methodologies * Ability to build and hold hands on exercises on wireless products * Multi-tasking with various training related activities, building contents and working across functions. * Flexibility It is the policy of CommScope to provide Equal Employment Opportunities to all individuals based on merit, qualifications and abilities.
