About the role:
Cruise is looking for a Manager, Technical Program Management to help us scale our team coordinating the engineering work within the Autonomous Vehicle Integrity (AVI) department and between AVI and AV Engineering. Technical Program Managers are responsible for the "when" and the "how" of the program, and are held accountable for our teams delivering projects within the agreed upon timeline and requirements.
In this position, you will be the AVI TPM discipline leader and scale the team responsible for TPM within Systems Engineering, Systems Test Engineering, Simulation to work more efficiently and effectively with our partners in AV Engineering, Vehicles, Fleet and Infrastructure.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Leading a team working closely with our Systems Engineering, Systems Test Engineering, Simulation and Engineering organizations to deliver testing and development assets for Autonomous Vehicles
Driving the team's facilitation of day-to-day engineering work across multiple projects
Leading the team to understand, clarify, and rationalize requirements across teams
Driving sprint and quarterly planning process, execution, retrospectives, and metrics reporting
Ensuring alignment of cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communications at all levels
Ensuring definition and monitoring of metrics & KPIs based on business requirements
Defining methods of tracking and reporting on project progress, proactively driving improvements
Building trusted relationships with team leaders and relevant stakeholders
Defining communication schedule and process to larger company program
Hiring, mentoring, and retaining top TPM talent
You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications:
You have 5+ years of experience managing teams coordinating complex technical projects in a fast-paced tech company and/or highly regulated industry
You have strong technical and nontechnical communication skills
You possess an ability to understand complex technical systems
You pride yourself in your ability to identify and act on opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency
You have at least a BS in CS, Math, EE, or a related engineering or science field
Deep knowledge and experience with Agile techniques like Release Planning, Scrum of Scrums, SAFE, Component vs. Feature Teams and Continuous & Automated Testing.
Experience with robotics, autonomous vehicles, or similar complex safety critical systems
