We are seeking a Manager of Technical Content for our Austin office. This role is responsible for building and managing a global team of technical writers, to produce high quality product documentation.
Direct the work and development of a team of technical writers
Oversee publication of release and product documentation along with curation of content in the Support knowledge base
Continually evaluate and improve on content strategy
Collaborate with stakeholders to provide tracking and progress of established KPIs
Build and effectively lead the team through hiring, training, development, and goal/objective setting
Work closely with other cross-functional management teams in marketing, product, and development
Execute on appropriate internal and external processes
Manage and coordinate other technical content products beyond product documentation
Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to build and motivate a team of technical writers to ensure completion of both short and long term goals and objectives
Exceptional writing skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate and work effectively across multiple departments
Ability to understand and communicate business concepts
Demonstrated ability to discuss technical concepts and make decisions based on feedback from both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in English, Technical Writing, Journalism, Communications, or other writing-intensive course of study
Minimum of 2 years experience managing a technical content team
Proficiency in leading, motivating and executing with a team of technical writers
Proven ability to recruit, train and scale against growth targets
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
