POSITION SUMMARY:
Based in Richmond VA, the Manager
Technical Accounting & Reporting reports to the Associate Director
Technical Accounting & Reporting and is responsible for timely and accurate Group accounting and financial reporting under both IFRS and US GAAP. The successful candidate will develop and enhance processes and procedures to fulfil annual and quarterly US GAAP SEC reporting requirements on Form 10-Q and 10-K and will demonstrate intellectual curiosity and flexibility to support a variety of accounting and reporting requirements. The individual in this role coordinates closely with investor relations, legal and finance teams to deliver financial reporting that meets UK and SEC requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Technical Accounting and Consolidation:
Research and develop technical accounting position papers/memos for significant or unusual transactions, new (IFRS or US GAAP) accounting standards, or critical judgements
Oversee monthly consolidation process for IFRS and US GAAP ledgers, preparing or reviewing entries, reconciliations and analyses to facilitate a timely close
Oversee work with R&D, Commercial, and FP&A stakeholders to facilitate data-driven decisions for future research and development investments with input to impairment assessments
Process & Control:
Maintain strong internal control environment, enforce controls over financial reporting and consolidation
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and control
Collaborate with others and encourage finance transformation and efficiency through process enhancement and use of technology
Reporting:
Lead preparation and review of quarterly earnings release and IFRS and US GAAP quarterly and annual financial statements and disclosures, including reporting on Form 10-K and 10-Q
Prepare or review schedules to support financial statement disclosures
Monitor applicable US GAAP and SEC requirements and updates
Enhance Indivior's use of Workiva reporting platform to drive accuracy and efficiency
Manage XBRL tagging process for SEC filings
Exchange reporting for share repurchase programs
Final review over US Government quarterly and annual reporting
Coordination & Relationships:
Develop relationships across Finance and Investor Relations; proactively anticipate questions to be raised as a result of Indivior's financial reporting
Coordinate with members of the tax team on both reporting and internal control matters
Lead technical accounting matters and help to drive decision making grounded in data analysis
Engage with regional and functional financial teams to facilitate technical accounting and reporting matters across the Group.
Coordinate and work closely with Internal Audit and external auditors to facilitate efficient execution of audit procedures
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor or equivalent degree with a focus in accounting
License/Certifications: CPA or equivalent required
Experience:
6-15 years of relevant corporate accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably with a publicly listed company
Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, either within corporate or as an internal or external auditor
Preferred experience:
Previous experience working for or being audited by Big 4
2+ years SEC reporting experience
SAP experience
Workiva experience
Travel: Infrequent US and international travel may be requested
