Approved Locations: 701 5th Ave, Ste 4200, Seattle, WA 98104. 10-20% travel to various unanticipated client locations across the U.S. May work remotely.

Job Description:

As the Manager

  • Tax Reporting and Advisory (TRA) you''ll run client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, executing, directing, and completing tax projects and managing to budget.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Review tax returns completed by staff and make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy and tax savings opportunities.

  • Conduct primary review of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements.

  • Research and consult on various tax matters. Utilize tax-related software to prepare and process returns and research tax matters.

  • Prepare responses to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.

  • May supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns on tax projects and assess performance of staff for engagement reviews.

You have the following technical skills and qualifications:

  • Degree type required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related, or the foreign degree equivalent.
  • Years of experience
  • 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Tax Accountant, Senior Associate, or other alternate acceptable occupation.
  • Relevant certification
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
  • Relevant experience - analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in US GAAP and U.S. corporate income tax laws and regulations; corporate income tax and strong ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes skills and provision audits; statutory income tax compliance and consulting including state and local income taxes, taxation of international activity; tax software and technology including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Thompson Reuters OneSource Tax Provision, and Gosystem; supervising, training, and mentoring associates and peers on tax projects and assessing performance of staff for annual engagement reviews; and reviewing tax returns and workpapers prepared by staff for accuracy and completeness.

  • Ability to travel as needed. 10-20% travel to various unanticipated client locations across the U.S.
