Manager, Tax (Multiple Positions), San Francisco, CA.

Provide state and local tax services to multi-state clients in a range of industries. Review multi-state and local tax returns.

Research state and local tax compliance issues. Calculate tax withholding, apportionment, and allocations for clients, including partnerships. Prepare clients for discussions with tax auditors.

Represent clients at tax hearings and appeal meetings. Review and analyze income and balance sheet items related to state and local tax. Research and draft technical memoranda regarding income and franchise tax questions.

Demonstrate in-depth tax accounting knowledge. Establish and maintain client relationships and professional networks.

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience with the following: Utilizing tax software, including OneSource & Vertex; Executing tax advisory and compliance services related to Indirect Transaction Taxes; Providing advice to clients on best practices around indirect tax calculation; Preparing proposal documents for oral proposals to prospective clients; and Utilizing Excel for sorting data using pivot tables and writing VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP formulas.

Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 20%.

SALARY RANGE: $136,989 - $193,800 per year
