JOB OVERVIEW:

The Manager, Talent Acquisition serves as an internal consultant to Darden's brands and Restaurant Support Center (RSC) to understand talent needs, provide guidance and support, and optimize hiring effectiveness. This position provides subject matter expertise in recruiting best practices and strategies, stays up-to-date on industry and market trends, and supports initiatives and activities to improve the team member hiring experience. Additionally, is responsible for reporting metrics, evaluation and audit of processes, and vendor relationship management. The Manager, Talent Acquisition will report to the Director, RSC Human Resources.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as Darden's primary point of contact for talent acquisition best practices, reporting & analytics.

  • Supports various recruiting initiatives as part of the Darden Talent Acquisition (TA) taskforce.

  • Partners with the Manager, HR Technology for Applicant Tracking System (ATS) system optimization, which includes facilitating feedback from brands and RSC on desired enhancements and prioritize based on business needs.

  • Serves as Darden lead for assessment procedures across the enterprise.

  • Regularly evaluates, validates, and audits the effectiveness of assessments.

  • Ensures assessment criteria is relevant to Darden's key success measures and winning behaviors.

  • Partners with external recruiting partners (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.) as needed to support brand/RSC TA strategies.

  • Serves as primary liaison with background check vendor (e.g., HireRight) and oversees background and drug screening processes.

  • Manages vendor relationships to ensure all services are leveraged to full potential and optimized for business needs.

  • Keeps up-to-date on external landscape for recruiting and shares evolving recruitment strategies with brands and RSC.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of professional HR experience as a generalist, recruiter, or multiple specialized roles in the HR field, and/or a combination of relevant HR and management experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of recruiting best practices, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection techniques.

  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with the external industry landscape, including market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data-driven recruitment strategies that align with business goals and objectives.

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to track, analyze, and report on key recruitment metrics and make data-driven decisions.

  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining a strong employer/employee branding, both online and offline, to attract top talent.

  • Solid understanding of HR practices, recruiting and related employment laws.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Recruiting/talent acquisition experience.

  • Master's degree in HR or Business.

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations a plus.
