Manager, Talent Acquisition

Location: Madison, NJ

Position Type: Contract

Summary:

Under limited direction, responsible for managing recruiting team and handling the full cycle recruiting responsibilities for R&D positions. Will be sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates, and manage R&D Talent Acquisition recruiters across the US. This is an management position within the Talent Acquisition organization and this lead will work in conjunction with the R&D HR Business Partner, R&D leadership and all related HR functions (Shared Services, Compensation etc.)

The incumbent in this role should be prepared to execute the following:

*Manage a group of experienced professional R&D recruiters. You should manage and coach performance and development; monitoring recruiting wins and opportunities

  • Maintain knowledge of all current openings and manage capacity as needed.

  • Leverage metrics to identify best practices and areas of opportunity; and then champion and lead solutions accordingly.

  • You will use cost and time effective strategic and recruiting practices that ensure diverse sourcing strategies that lead to quality hires.

  • Partner with the R&D and HR Leaders and Managers, providing recruiter support for filling critical positions up to the VP level. (This will include retainer base searches)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or related field from an accredited college or university, and ten (10+) or more years full-life cycle recruiting experience, including at least two (2) years experience at a managerial level. Familiarity with Taleo, and Workday (or with an applicant tracking systems) a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Incumbents in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor, moderate noise levels and frequent business travel (up to 5 percent). Work is performed in an office environment

Position Overview The Director, Talent Acquisition (TA) based in Madison, NJ is a critical team member of the Global Talent COE and will assist with the evolution of the function and its enabling processes. This role will participate in the development of the annual forecasting and resourcing plan for the U.S. TA team, manage the relationship and performance of the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) and other third-party providers and identify and recommend new best-in-class strategies and practices. This position will serve as a strategic partner for the U.S. Operations business and its leadership, acquiring a deep understanding of business and internal client's needs, and aligning a talent acquisition strategy with those needs. Main Areas of Responsibilities * Manage a team of TA resources that will execute the full life-cycle recruiting process for U.S. Operations business unit. * Drive and sustain, in partnership with senior HRBPs, internal talent mobility for critical leadership roles that is tied to GTM succession planning and high potential identification. * Partner with the Executive Director to develop the annual forecasting and resourcing plan for the U.S. TA function, ensuring TA is appropriately staffed to manage the workforce demands as well as adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and TA processes. * Lead the development and implementation of U.S. TA recruiter metrics, monitoring the performance and effectiveness of the team. * Manage the performance of ongoing and ad hoc recruiting data analyses that monitor TA performance through key metrics and surveys. * Oversee and manage the relationship with and performance of the Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) providing support to U.S. recruitment efforts (across all business units). * Lead executive recruitment and selection efforts by partnering with Senior U.S. Operations Leaders to design, implement, and execute talent acquisition strategies and providing guidance on selection processes and hiring decisions based on the Allergan's Leadership model. * Educate, coach and mentor team members (including business leaders and managers) to enhance their effectiveness in the acquisition, recruitment and selection of the right talent, with a focus on diversity. Education/Requirements The following listed requirements need to be met at a minimum level to be considered for the job: * BA/BS degree or equivalent required. (Post-baccalaureate degree a plus.) * Minimum 10 years of recruitment experience in roles of increasing responsibility. * Minimum of 5 years of experience performing data analysis and reporting in a business environment, particularly dealing with human capital data. Preferred Skills/Qualification The below skills are attributes that may not be mandatory, but are desired in the ideal candidate: * Experience recruiting for Pharmaceutical Operations highly preferred. * Successful track record of managing a team directly across multiple & remote locations. * Experience managing RPO vendors and third-party providers. * Expertise in resource management to gain efficiencies and the ability to set clear expectations for deliverables with TA team, HRBPs and business leaders. * Experience developing and implementing Talent Acquisition process improvements. * Experience working with various Applicant Tracking Systems and with Recruitment Technology tools integrated with core HR systems. * Proactively fosters partnerships within the business, quickly establishes credibility and gains the trust and respect of clients; puts customers front of mind to drive business results. * Expert knowledge in full lifecycle recruitment, including multi-source sourcing of active and passive talent, thorough pre-qualification screening, interviewing, closing and onboarding professional-level candidates across multiple levels and disciplines. * Solid knowledge of legal issues and requirements of employee labor laws, ensuring the organization maintains the appropriate policies that are legally compliant. * Knowledge in benchmarking principles and methodology of business/industry practices. * Ability to translate complex data analysis into terms that can be understood by a broader audience. * Identifies and invests in people; amplifies strengths to build the best talent. #LI-KK1 Allergan, Inc.
