Kyocera International, Inc. has an opportunity for a Manager of Supply Management in our Vancouver, WA facility! The Manager of Supply Management assists in managing the Purchasing department for Kyocera in all phases. They will also evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, availability, reliability and selection variety.

  • Based off of Production's financial plan and business forecast, set effective purchasing department's financial plan and action plans to support internal customers.

  • Negotiates procurement of supplies, production materials, equipment, and services to meet the need of the organization at the lowest cost consistent with the consideration of quality, reliability of source, and urgency of need.

  • Performs onsite audits/visits to potential or current suppliers.

  • Evaluates vendor quotes and services.

  • Establishes foreign and domestic suppliers.

  • Structures supplier contracts.

  • Ensures supplier compliance with site and company requirements for safety and security.

  • Has an understanding of commodities and monitors supplier trends to implement effective purchasing.

  • Manages subcontractors, generates shipping documents, and sends raw material stock for processing.

  • Complies and trains team on all applicable requirements of KII Policy, KII Ringi System (internal approval), SOX, ISO 9000 Quality Requirements, ISO 14000 Environmental requirements, ITAR, US Customs, governmental regulations and taxing bodies.

  • Structures and controls department budget.

  • Interviews, hires and oversees Purchasing staff.

  • Tracks Purchasing activity and measurements.

  • All other duties as assigned.


Knowledge of a specialized field (however acquired), such as basic accounting, computer, etc. equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school specialized training, equal to four years of college, plus 10 years' related experience and/or training, and 5 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • 10 years' experience in the procurement function preferred, 10 years' minimum in support of a manufacturing operation.

  • 2+ year degree, 4 year degree preferred.

  • CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) ,CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) preferred.

  • Has excellent communication skills. Communicates effectively with suppliers, internal customers, upper management and subordinates.

  • 2+ years' experience of directly managing employees.

  • Has strong leadership skills and manager capability to execute the plans and accomplish the goals.

  • Understanding of market situation and purchasing environment and make effective purchasing strategy for stable supply and cost reduction.

  • Has deep knowledge to two or three commodities, i.e. raw materials, electrical components, chemicals, tooling.

  • Has sufficient experience and capability in dealing with CSR and regulatory compliance.

  • Has great personal character. Is humble, has integrity and is willing to embrace challenges.

  • Proficient with MS Office and integrated operating system (SAP preferred), internet search skills.

  • Demonstrated success in previous procurement position(s) with an emphasis on attention to detail; cost reduction, operational efficiencies and negotiation.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills including business writing and email.

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

  • Ability to speak verbally and hear. Vision required in the job includes close vision and reading a computer screen.

Req ID: 180629 JOB SUMMARY Responsible for: facilitating an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach in the delivery of care and programs; partnering with clinic Physician(s) and operational leadership to provide effective and proactive management of clinic operations; management of provider caregivers (typically up to 10 providers); ensuring exceptional services to patients; and for achieving annual operational and financial goals; may manage multiple sites, departments or services lines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Partner with physicians and senior clinic leadership to lead clinic operations to ensure overall success of area/site. Engage staff, providers and leadership in developing and implementing action plans to meet annual operating goals that are in alignment with strategic plan and to resolve clinic issues in a timely manner. * Analyzes, organizes and manages clinical and non-clinical operations of assigned areas. This may include multiple sites/departments/service lines. * Full authority/oversight over daily operations and responsible for managing and overseeing the delivery of exceptional and compassionate care to all patients within area(s) of responsibility. * Overall accountability and oversight of assigned clinic(s)/area(s) including: financial and operational performance; provider practice efficiency; service excellence; budget development and management; staffing; talent/performance management. Engages appropriate stakeholders in the review and dissemination of area financial and productivity performance. * Manage the selection, training, coaching, mentoring, development and evaluation of assigned staff. Full employment authority. * Provide first line response to physician and assigned staff issues (behavioral and clinical). Responsible for problem resolution in collaboration with lead physicians(s) and/or senior clinic leadership as necessary. * Support/influence strategic initiatives and manage programs in identified service lines. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree required preferably in business and/or healthcare management or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the caregiver with the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job. * Master's degree in business or healthcare management is preferred. EXPERIENCE/TRAINING: * Minimum three years of supervisory experience required. * Minimum of five years of clinic and/or clinical operations experience required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: * For licensed and/or certified/registered clinician, must have a current registration/certification or license in State. * Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required at date of hire.
