JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the efficient receipt, preparation , storage and transportation of materials to support the delivery of communications and video services to Charter Communications' customers via a physical supply chain. May be required to supervise multiple geographic locations within a given market area. Drives operational excellence through the management of people, processes and systems.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the assets, employees, expenses, and budgets associated with field Supply Chain operations.

Responsible for the hire, motivation, safety, performance management, and discipline of assigned staff as required.

Arranges work schedule within the department to assure full coverage during normal working hours, weekends and any special promotions or events, including overtime and temporary staff management.

Manages inventory and distribution in concert with 3PL provider(s). Plans and monitors storage, delivery and transportation of CPE and materials. Acquires and maintains supportive logistics for field use.

Communicates, implements, and sustains company policies and procedures regarding materials and CPE management, including, but not limited to, security, tracking, distribution, and internal controls compliance.

Maintains frequent communication and interaction with 3PL management and support staff to ensure and sustain a reliable flow of required materials and CPE in support of BAU, special project, and emergency business demands.

Monitors usage, forecasting, and field communications and provides input to materials and CPE forecasting to minimizes backorder and excess stock situations.

Conducts and/or directs required materials audits, inventory events, etc.

Supports and executes company business continuity programs in the field and supports other departments in their execution of these initiatives.

Manages disposition of damaged, surplus, or decommissioned material.

Maintains a high standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, safety, and organized storage/placement of equipment and materials.

Identifies and implements continuous process improvement and standardization opportunities.

May perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English

Ability to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner

Ability to prioritize workloads

Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

Ability to maintain accurate records

Ability to work independently

Ability to operate Microsoft Office Suite and bar coding equipment

Knowledge of basic mathematics

Ability to analyze and interpret data

Ability to effectively present information to management

Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure

Ability to show judgment and initiative and to accomplish job duties

Valid driver's license

Forklift safety certification

Education

High School Diploma or GED required, BS/BA preferred

Related Work Experience Number of Years

Warehouse experience 5+

Inventory or warehouse application experience 1-3

Supervisory experience 2+

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Familiarity with logistics

Knowledge of CATV parts and equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS

Warehouse environment

Exposure to dust, fluctuating indoor temperatures, and periodic high noise levels

Ability to bend/squat/kneel

Ability to lift 40-60 lbs and occasionally up to 80 lbs

Essential Functions * Identify & analyze Distribution Centers/Logistics data/trends to drive both strategic and tactical opportunities * Support the development of departmental budgets & forecast variances to budget & LY * Support the develop informational material to educate the broader Belk organization on Supply Chain KPIs * Work closely with cross-functional teams to support peak period planning and overall Supply Chain initiatives * Under minimum supervision, design, analyze and create management reports/presentations and dashboards. * Propose alternative strategic and operational tactics to further improve overall results and efficiency * Provide financial, statistical & operational analyses in support of key initiatives * Proactively communicate with multiple teams to gather required data needed to validate accuracy of analysis * Develop presentations highlighting key assumptions, business drivers and recommendations to leadership * Perform analysis to reconcile data to source reports to resolve discrepancies * Identify opportunities for innovation, productivity improvement and savings Required Experience and Skills * 2 to 3 years work experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial/Operations Engineering, Fulfillment Operations or Finance. * 1 to 2 years of experience in a quantitative analytical field with in-depth analysis, advanced Excel and large volume data management skills required. * 1 to 2 years of experience in budgeting and forecasting of expenses * Requires sufficient experience to immediately proceed with the responsibilities of the position with minimal assistance. * Strong communication and presentation skills; able to communicate effectively in various levels of the organization, i.e. large meeting facilitation, written and electronic communications. * Ability to manage tight deadlines. * Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and influences, motivates people with no direct authority * Proven ability to understand degree of implemented changes and forecast upstream and downstream effects across the supply chain, organization, and end consumer. * Advanced computer skills.
