GENERAL FUNCTION

The Supply Chain Manager determines the optimum order release strategies to guarantee the service level per channel and support higher UPH for Distribution Operations by managing the simulation function and launching new projects to improve/sustain efficiencies in the DC. The Supply Chain Manager manages the Simulation team, defines release strategies and performs analytics, project planning, and tracks the execution of all projects related to efficiency (UPH) in the DC. The Supply Chain Manager develops, analyzes and presents solutions through collaboration with internal departments such as planning, operations, business systems/IT, and engineering. The Supply Chain Manager interfaces with all levels of business professionals within the organization.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and leverages relationships with functional leaders and internal business partners to deliver optimal supply chain solutions.

  • Provides analytical and system support for the development, implementation & management of strategies, policies and procedures.

  • Directly supervises a team of supervisors and associates to ensure fast/optimum releasing strategy in simulation and to complete all projects in a timely manner as related to efficiency and service level and based on the analysis completed.

  • Regularly analyzes supply chain data to ensure key performance indicators are met in order to develop and lead new processes, procedures and corrective actions.

  • Strictly follows daily Simulation team activities and performance to ensure both timely delivery to customers and optimum method of delivery releasing to support maintain/increase targeted UPH.

  • Generates and monitors workflow to ensure maximum efficiency in the DC.

  • Develops quantitative supply chain, operational, and customer solutions through collaboration with internal and external organizations.

  • Assists in developing business tools and processes to capture and monitor metrics for supply chain processes.

  • Regularly analyzes data and makes recommendations for process improvements.

  • Coordinates and implements warehouse, transportation, and supply chain best practices.

  • Acts as main point of contact and liaison between Operations and Simulation team and the rest of the Planning department.

  • Conducts ad-hoc analysis.

  • Provides daily and KPI reporting to leadership team.

  • Project management.

  • Provides leadership to Planning/Simulation team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Information Systems)

  • 5+ years in related work experience

  • Strong project management and communication skills (verbal, written)

  • Strong problem solving skills, proven ability to identify and resolve problems

  • Highly organized and process oriented with an ability to excel in a fast paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint

  • Self-Starter; team player

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • SAP Warehouse Management

  • Project Management

  • MBA/Masters in Supply Chain Mgt (or related field)
