Manager Supply Chain & Manufacturing Systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage IS team responsible for software development and application support for Supply Chain (SCM) and Manufacturing (MFG) systems for North American Manufacturing Operations.

  • Responsible for management and supervision of IS SCM / MFG staff, including direct and contract personnel.

  • IS Manager will be responsible for hiring, promoting, coaching, providing leadership, performance assessment, providing feedback and discipline to the team as needed.

  • Promote and support the career and future talent development within the IS team.

  • Management and oversight of team providing Run the Business (RTB) support for the application portfolio supporting the SCM / MFG organization.

  • Ensure SCM / MFG business operations, KPI's, priorities and requirements are understood and aligned within IS team.

  • Ensures appropriate staff utilization through project assignments, training and appropriate resource load balancing of skills and competencies.

  • Responsible for IS team budget development and management efforts.

  • Management and oversight of software development projects for the IS SCM / MFG team, including project budgeting, scheduling, implementation and ongoing support.

  • Management and oversight for external vendors providing services to the IS SCM /MFG team.

  • Work with Nissan Vendor Management to coordinate on-shore and off-shore service delivery.

  • Provide strategic and tactical planning and leadership to the IS team and related business units.

  • Promote close partnerships between IS and SCM / MFG. organizations

  • Promote and support collaboration of North American regional IS Projects, Strategies and KPI's to Nissan & Alliance Global IS and SCM/MFG organizations.

  • Ensure strong support and collaboration with IS Shared Service Organizations (ex: Program Management, Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, etc.).

  • Responsible for evaluation and integration of new technologies and methodologies to continue advancement of SCM / MFG operations and the IS team.

  • Ensures proper observance of all company polices applicable to the operations the IS team functions and working area, including those related to HR, Security, IS, Finance, etc.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in software development, system design and/or application delivery.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • 5 + years of managerial experience or demonstrated team leadership

  • Possess strong communication, organizational, documentation and analytical skills.

  • Advanced proficiency with: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio);

  • Project Management methods and tools (Clarity, MS Project)

  • Desired: Understanding of Supply Chain and /or Manufacturing System concepts, challenges and industry trends

  • Ability to work outside regular business hours to support SCM / MFG operations and to integrate with Global IS and SCM counterparts

  • Some Travel required (Domestic & International)


  • Bachelors degree in related discipline such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or SCM.
