This role is accountable to provide oversight and leadership for the end-to-end (lifecycle) management of all Suppliers of goods and services to Enbridge, to ensure that only qualified suppliers work for the company, thereby assuring the integrity of the assets built, operated and maintained by Enbridge.


  • Coordination of Supplier Performance Management and Vendor Management to maintain an accurate EASL and efficient Vendor Master.

  • Develop and integrate Supplier Quality processes into a consolidated Enbridge Enterprise Approved Supplier List (EASL) through the development and implementation lifecycle management.

  • Lead the development of Supplier performance management practices across the Enterprise to provide Quality Assurance in the EASL to ensure good quality and prevent poor performing Suppliers from working for any Enbridge company.

  • Develop and lead the deployment of all phases in the lifecycle of Supplier Quality management as per the Supplier Management Program

  • Lead and manage a high performing Supply Chain Management Supplier Quality to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Supplier Management System and the embedded EASL to provide real time status and quantitative data for all Enbridge Enterprise Suppliers.

  • Deliver against the Supplier Quality Roadmap to define the Supply Chain Management journey and manage resources to achieve the vision, increase maturity and maximize the value of Supplier Quality for the Enbridge Enterprise.

  • In collaboration with supplier quality teams within projects and operations, other areas of SCM, Safety and Insurance & Risk, develop and maintain Supplier performance scorecards, Supplier audit procedures, and Supplier risk assessments.

  • Manage, directly or through subordinates, Supplier quality and development activities that will refine and improve quality of the product and process, as measured by key supplier performance metrics.

  • Either directly, or through subordinates, facilitate the identification and resolution of systemic Supplier quality issues to deliver stakeholder expectations, reduce the cost of poor quality and enhance end-user customer satisfaction.

  • Develop and manage the Supplier Portal to connect to the Supplier lifecycle and increase visibility through reporting of activity.

  • Requires ability to interface with senior leadership and other stakeholders.

  • Ability to prioritize initiatives that will bring financial benefit to Enbridge, working within the supply base.

  • Ability to develop, seek approval for, and implement new policies and procedures for both Supplier Lifecycle Management.

  • Manage complex stakeholder relationships to ensure accountability for EASL and consistent enterprise management of suppliers.

  • Ability to act professionally when dealing with internal stakeholders on changing statuses of Suppliers with existing relationships.

  • Ability to lead and develop a medium-sized but strategically minded team, in delivering the Supplier Management Program across the enterprise.

  • Demonstrate business acumen when dealing with stakeholder and Supplier concerns.

  • Having strong Leadership skills when representing SCM on Cross-functional teams.

  • Strong change management capability to drive through innovation.



  • Bachelor's degree in business related discipline or engineering, with more than 10 years of demonstrable relevant experience at leadership level.

  • Substantial experience in successfully leading teams with the ability to identify, foster and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

  • Strong experience in project management including planning, supervising, monitoring, and accomplishing the goals of specific project requirements.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools and mindset to drive continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of manufacturing processes, practices, and procedures.

  • Demonstrable ability to identify self-development needs and explore new opportunities for career advancement, skill development and professional growth.


  • Completion of a SCM related professional certification, such as PMAC, ISM or a Quality professional designation is considered an asset.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to thoroughly analyze, interpret data / information to make sound informed decisions.

  • Ability to work effectively at all levels of the Enbridge organization in a team-based multi-disciplined matrix organizational structure including Enbridge's Supplier base.

  • Ability to lead the organization in embracing change with strong ability to communicate the value and need for change.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
