Universal Music Group's Streaming Marketing department is looking for a passionate and eager candidate to help brainstorm, create, and implement critical business solutions for a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate should be well-versed in data analysis, with a solid understanding (or a willingness to learn) the business models that are currently revolutionizing streaming media. Candidates should possess competencies in Excel, SQL, Tableau and other data manipulation/visualization platforms. Proficiency with Python is highly desirable.
This candidate should have the ability to manage requests in a professional manner and communicate findings to a variety of stakeholders and work collaboratively in cross-functional project teams.
The Streaming Marketing Department utilizes data in all strategy development and decision making to reach established quarterly and annual goals in a collaborative team environment. We are hiring for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and is looking for longer term career possibilities.
Create SQL queries to extract data from files within Google BigQuery or other SQL platforms.
Build visualizations in Tableau, DOMO, and Google DataStudio.
Produce and distribute Department reports/analysis/automations as directed.
Deliver data-driven solutions/recommendations that incorporate rigorous research and analysis.
Help develop and review methodology for departmental tools.
Identify user/partner trends, including but not limited to user engagement, listening habits, conversion, retention, monetization, genre insights, among many others.
Coordinate with team to ensure inclusion and alignment across alldepartment job functions and initiatives.
Collaborate as directed for key department initiatives and projects.
Knowledge of SQL, Excel, Tableau, DataStudio, Google Sheets
Knowledge of Python & BigQuery would be a plus.
Familiarity of Streaming platforms including: Spotify, Apple Music,Amazon, YouTube, Tidal, Deezer, etc

Passion, curiosity and creative problem solving for music and the data that is used within the industry.
