Position Summary:

This position develops and executes sourcing strategies and RFx as a category lead in support of large-scale sourcing and procurement initiatives for our clients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies to deliver on internal stakeholders and/or client objectives

  • Provide insight to internal and/or clients stakeholders spanning the entire client relationship lifecycle

  • Manage and effectively deliver multiple projects on time and with the appropriate results

  • Organize and analyze client data to understand buying needs

  • Process large amounts of client data to compile market baskets and supplier panels for RFx

  • Foster LogicSource's supplier ecosystem by maintaining in-depth knowledge of and relationships with the national supplier marketplace by sub-category

  • Build, manage and execute large-scale and multi-client RFx through our sourcing software

  • Negotiate best pricing and service through the application of LogicSource's sourcing methodology

  • Summarize RFx results for presentation to leadership, internal and/or client stakeholders, including recommendations on suppliers, specification and/or process changes to deliver value

  • Counsel internal and/or client stakeholders on specifications improvement and value engineering to drive cost containment and savings

  • Ensure strategies can be executed in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures, support internal and/or client stakeholders in resolving supplier issues as necessary

  • Remain abreast of the latest innovations in products and services and continually feed information to those serving our clients. Identify and share technical best practices

  • Provide first-rate customer service to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, internal and client stakeholders

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required

  • Detail oriented with the ability to deliver on client expectations, influencing others or escalating as needed to do so

  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work

  • Analytically adept with the ability to interpret complex data for informed decision-making and to assess results

  • Organizational and project management skills

  • Ability to operate independently in a dynamic environment

  • Strong communication skills with the proven ability to interact effectively with suppliers, and internal or client stakeholders at all organizational levels

  • Adaptable and willing to shift priorities as client needs change

  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to learn

  • Demonstrate problem solving skills

  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel for financial analysis/RFx builds and PowerPoint for presentation creation

  • 7 - 10 years cross-functional experience in strategic sourcing, procurement and supplier management related to physical marketing/commercial print

  • Proven technical knowledge of the printing industry - to include but not limited to:

  • Marketing Collateral: commercial print, direct mail/postal requirements and retail inserts

  • Signage: weekly/monthly POP programs, small and large format graphics

  • Current press technology for offset (web and sheet-fed), digital (small and large format) and screen printing

  • Pre-media

  • Complex kit packouts

  • Demonstrated success in managing suppliers, negotiating and managing high-value contracts

  • Experience with e-sourcing software in a print environment, including SAP Ariba

  • Exposure to or experience working with Corporate Marketing/Procurement teams at all levels from creative to the C-Suite, especially within a services industry (e.g., professional consulting, BPO, outsourcing) is a plus

  • Experience with inventory management, requisitioning is a plus

  • Exposure to some or all of the following is also helpful:

  • Promotional items

  • Wearables

  • Web portal development

Travel: This position travels up to 15% of the time.
