The Manager, Strategic Analytics is responsible for providing both day-to-day insights and big picture analysis to help optimize performance across Aaron's business units. The role requires the ability to leverage financial & business knowledge to influence senior leadership and help formulate recommendations related to the company's corporate strategy or operations.

Job Duties:

  • Develop a detailed, strategic analytical framework inclusive of predictive analytics to guide company initiatives

  • Conduct in depth analyses of performance across a variety of company projects, and present recommendations to team members, product owners, and senior management

  • Engages with business leaders and team members to understand the needs of the business, turn them into data requirements, and structure data-based solutions as required by the business

  • Help define and recommend measurement, strategies, and reporting that will be used to inform key business decisions and drive a best-in-class customer experience while delivering profitable results

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and provide recommendations for process improvements within the work area to management resulting in increased revenue and/or reduction of expense

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 6 years of finance experience

  • Ability to lead complex quantitative and qualitative research efforts and business intelligence solutions

  • Pro-actively participate in and identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, standardization and process simplification

  • Time management Demonstrates efficiency and persistence, managing own time and ensuring engagement deadlines and objectives are met

  • Communication Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive and accurately interpret ideas, information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. This includes the ability to describe or explain complex processes and issues in a concise manner

  • Persuasion and collaboration Nurtures and builds effective partnerships with clients to achieve results; team player, comfortable working on multiple teams/projects simultaneously and independently, as needed

  • Critical thinking Understanding of the issues related to the decision-making process; ability to analyze situations fully and accurately, and reach productive decisions

The Strategic Analytics team is responsible for product and customer analytics, company-wide data uniformity, data consolidation and senior executive requested analyses. This position will be responsible for managing multiple high priority projects and delivering them to the appropriate internal stake holders. The successful candidate will work on new and existing projects in close collaboration with teams that include Data Warehouse, Sales, Finance and other stakeholders. The analyst, must be results-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in small teams and very fast-pace environments. The candidate must have the ability to work independently; must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; must have excellent organizational skills and decision making ability. Duties and Responsibilities * Manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time while coordinating with stakeholders (data warehouse, development, finance, other internal groups and potentially outside parties), ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope * Clearly and concisely document requirements for each project being undertaken * Assist in evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, and determining lowest level of information needed * Produce output mockups for each project * Provide regular detailed updates to key stakeholders * Identify issues quickly and propose potential solutions, work with stakeholders to ensure issues get resolved in a timely manner * Utilize Tableau, OBIEE, and Alteryx to be able to publish the project output in a senior executive consumable format * Establish and maintain an in-depth understanding of all ICE products and business divisions Knowledge and Experience * Bachelor's Degree, as well as, 3+ years working experience * Advanced experience in Excel, Vizio and database technologies including pivot tables, vb/sql query writing * Experience with data visualization / analysis tools such as Tableau, OBIEE, Power BI and Alteryx * Excellent communication skills.
