The Manager of IT Storage will build and lead a team responsible for capturing product requirements from stakeholders, designing system architectures, facilitating communication between functional teams, and driving development and implementation best practices across the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) Network. Will direct Storage Administration team in the design, development, implementation and support of Storage Area Network, Backup and Restore, Disaster Recovery, SAN Fabric, Storage Virtualization, Storage Replication and Network Attached Storage activities.
Manage Storage system configurations, testing, support projects and related services. Manage datacenter migration backups with staff, stakeholders and end-users.Interact with vendors on a wide range of system storage requirements/problems.
Assist in the resolution of high level storage system problems with clients. Establish, enforce, monitor and document Backup Standards and Company Best Practices. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all storage related problem tracking.
Provide on-call support and disaster recovery planning/support as required. General knowledge of network media and protocols, Storage Area Networking for tape and disk Participate and help manage and deliver an annual disaster recovery plan that meets the organizations and regulatory requirements. Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety standards.
Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations. Builds positive relationships with managers and staff in all areas. Prioritizes and responds promptly to needs of the customer.
Recognizes opportunities for service recovery and acts to resolve issues. Other duties and projects as assigned and in a timely fashion. Adheres to the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior. Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 50 lbs., and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, IT or other related IT/health field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in a technical multi-discipline management.
Requires leadership skills, judgment, creativity, and comprehensive knowledge of the field. Ability to manage problems and build collaborative relationships. Ability to drive strategic direction.
Proven maturity and strength in team leadership, team building, and communication, coaching, and providing timely essential feedback to others. Demonstrated ability to proactively address problems and situations.
