Manager Station Administration - SFO(Human Resources and Staffing Manager)

The Manager Station Administration provides strategic support for the operation and for the leadership team. This role will oversee local talent selection and development by managing onboarding, hiring, and will lead their execution. This role will also establish local systems for, and oversight of, McGee's attendance, and performance standards, in collaboration with the leadership team. This role will be key in developing initiatives that will lead to a highly-engaged team through employee recognition, performance monitoring, and safety communications. The Human Resources and Staffing Manager reports to the Director, Station Operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively foster and maintain an environment and culture where the safety of our team members and customers is of paramount importance

  • Establish and maintain a culture that encourages open communication, and where all team members are valued, connected, and engaged in the success of the operation

  • Lead Administrative team, including coaching and mentoring, while supporting individual development

  • Build, sustain, and drive continuous improvement in time and attendance procedures, ensure timely follow up with team members is conducted by the leadership team

  • Closely monitor staffing levels, partner with Recruitment on recruiting activities and manage hiring and onboarding process

  • Conduct timely, thorough investigations associated with employee relations issues as well as violations of company policies to ensure consistency and build a culture of accountability

  • Lead a team that provides responsive and proactive human resources support to internal customers

  • Partner with local leadership, union representatives, and Human Resources to provide an appropriate resolution to investigations

  • Review circumstances of pending discharges for compliance with company policy and engage Human Resources as appropriate

  • Supervise and fulfill all administrative duties inherent to this position in a timely manner to include scheduling, discipline and performance development

  • Develop programs to recognize and celebrate individual and team performance; monitor morale and drive the need for change

  • Monitor, assess, and report on team and scorecard performance to drive ongoing improvement

  • Demonstrate and maintain open and honest communication, creating an inclusive, engaging, and high-performance culture that demonstrates McGee's values of Safety, Service, Integrity, Mutual Respect, Accountability, and Pride

  • Drive operational and process improvements with team

  • Establish benchmarks for individual and team performance

  • Continuously evaluate procedures and assess as needed to ensure effectiveness

  • Create change that drives coverage and support for team members

  • Continuously evaluate roles within team and adjust as needed

  • Plan, coordinate, and set standards for celebrations, recognition, and communication

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College coursework and/or equivalent relevant experience required

  • Three (3) year of experience with proven skills in one or more of the following areas: Human Resources, recruiting and/or operations, required

  • Three (3) years of hands-on leadership experience, including leading groups of employees, and multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced, service-focused environment required

  • Proven experience with progressive discipline processes required

  • Strong knowledge/experience working in time & attendance systems, payroll systems, human resources systems and reporting systems required

  • Experience with labor or employee relations including conflict resolution and disciplinary action strongly preferred

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Professional work ethic and demonstrated ability to work with all work groups while addressing people courageously, directly and candidly

  • Able to lead and successfully communicate with a diverse workgroup and other internal departments

  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information

  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays required

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
