The Deployment Programs organization advocates and sponsors a more disciplined, consistent, and repeatable approach to project delivery, customer interface, financial controls, resource management, reporting, and technology utilization. The Deployment Programs organization focuses on oversight, implementation, and execution of customized solutions to maximize profitability, efficiency, and longevity of assets.
The ManagerSpecial Projects directs the execution of innovation initiatives and complex special projects across the Company's portfolio. The incumbent works closely with Product Development, Site Development, Network Operations, and Sales department leads to develop project plans and oversee the execution of strategic and specialized projects to meet the needs of the business and our customers.
The Manager assesses issues and creates optimal solutions to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction and the achievement of Company goals. The incumbent will be a subject matter expert in the deployment of wireless infrastructure and manage a team that execute on the Company's most complex and innovative projects across the portfolio, providing leadership and program governance which the Site Development team uses to drive project-level production. The incumbent ensures that all program methodologies, practices, policies, procedures, and customer reporting are consistently utilized and adhered to for national wireless carriers. The incumbent establishes strong and consistent communication methods and procedures for proactively informing and updating all personnel involved throughout the project life cycle, including planning, design, implementation, and completion.
Lead a team of Project Managers and provide strategic direction and project governance for multi-faceted innovation initiatives to meet or exceed established revenue and financial requirements while ensuring contract adherence and customer satisfaction.
Execute and deliver specialized projects, such as the deployment of new offerings and solutions.
Evaluate and adhere to customer requirements, while balancing those needs with internal cost management expectations to maintain financial requirements and reduce costs.
Maintain executive-level relationships with both national and regional customer leadership teams and develop custom designed programs for client-specific needs, delivering high-level progress updates, facilitating custom reporting that adheres to master services agreements, and providing high-quality customer service.
Facilitate collaborative cross-functional project team participation to effectively initiate, plan, execute, and monitor all project phases to reliably and repeatedly ensure work efforts are executed on time, within budget, and according to stated requirements.
Establish processes and procedures that take innovation trial deployments of new infrastructure solutions to ultimately allow large-scale deployments to be managed within the Site Development department.
Consolidate information from both national and regional contacts to drive consistency and communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
Monitor and ensure all production metrics, including project schedules, budget, and quality; adhere to department goals.
Serve as the Site Development department's single point of contact for Strategic Account sales support, national initiatives, customer escalations, customer engagement, innovation programs, national report distribution, and specific customer process optimization and standardization efforts.
Proactively provide and communicate program status, issues, and solutions to key internal stakeholders and leadership teams throughout the organization.
Establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships to effectively execute on responsibilities.
Maintain effective communication practices and procedures for all key stakeholders through the project life cycle; ensure that the overarching methodology, templates, procedures, and policies are utilized and practiced.
Collaborate with the DirectorDeployment Services and the Sales department to facilitate contracting and project scope definition; set proper customer expectations; establish cost and pricing parameters and service level agreements; ensure internal and external customer needs are defined, understood, and communicated.
Lead and manage the performance of Project Managers.
Create strong, collaborative team environment.
Recruit, develop, and retain staff, partnering with Senior Management, Recruiting, and Human Resources. This includes on-boarding and orientation for new hires.
Provide disciplined performance management for team. Define and communicate annual goals, perform formal and informal performance reviews, and ensure changes and updates are communicated in a timely and professional manner.
Proactively identify and resolve personnel issues in conjunction with Human Resources.
Vast knowledge of all aspects of wireless and broadcast site development, including site acquisition, construction, utility coordination, permitting, general contractor management, and customer relationship management.
Proven program or project management skills, which includes experience organizing, planning, and executing from vision through implementation medium- to large-scale projects involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors
Forward thinking leader with the ability to analyze all aspects of programs or projects and develop sound recommendations for improvements.
Proven ability managing conflict and proactively resolving issues.
Ability to navigate and negotiate complex business processes with stakeholders and process owners.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum 5 years of combined program and project management experience required.
Minimum 3 years telecommunications industry experience (including construction) managing large-scale projects and budgets required.
Minimum of 3 years of management experience required.
Project Management or Program Management Professional certification strongly preferred.
Approximately 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Approximately 30% travel may be required in support of the position's responsibilities.
