Solutions Consulting is responsible for deeply understanding the business in all key functional areas, as well as understanding the application landscape and capabilities. They maintain relationships with the business and leverage requirements engineering practices and methods to enable improved business processes to drive business success. They align business strategies and capability needs into business and technical requirements to ensure IT systems enable desired value.

Role Overview

Cardinal Health's Presource business is looking for a talented individual to lead a team of Solution Consultants. This role will be a hands-on leader of solution consultants and analysts supporting multiple business functions in optimizing business processes utilizing technology and analytics.

This role will partner with business and IT leaders to solution new capabilities aligning to business objectives as well as manage on-going support issues. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, is a self-starter, and a creative problem solver.

Additional Responsibilities:

Focuses on process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of technical solution options as they relate to the current and future business environment

Oversees multiple large projects and keeps alignment between business leaders and various IT groups throughout project lifecycle

Helps develop long-term business and technology strategies, feeding into Presource's multi-year strategic plans

Coordinates and assists in tracking the application support services ensuring alignment to appropriate service levels to support the business

Fosters career growth and a strong team culture, recruiting, hiring and coaching staff

Leads and develops team members toward individual and corporate goals

Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, business/functional documentation, and application testing

Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements and underlying feature requests, recommend sound technical and business approaches, and lead efforts to deliver optimal solutions

Excellent verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external partners

Strong problem-solving skills; the ability to analyze problems and develop actionable and appropriate tactical plans quickly

Experience leading others

Proficiency in SQL, data warehousing and business intelligence tools

Highly experienced with data-driven decision making

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
8+ years' experience in related field preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience driving workflow and business process improvement initiatives; including automating manual processes through engineering

Experience working with Tableau

Experience participating in software product road mapping and UI/UX design

Experience in Supply Chain / Manufacturing and/or Healthcare

Your work will include, but not be limited to: * Lead and manage strategic engagements focused on preparation and analysis of Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for post-acute clients (Skilled Nursing; Home Health Agencies; Rehab Facilities and Long-Term Care Hospitals) * Prepare, review and analyze Medicare and Medicaid cost reports in accordance with Federal and State regulations. * Analyze client financial and operating data in order to identify opportunities to optimize reimbursement rates for clients * Consult with clients on strategic and operational decisions based on reimbursement implications * Conduct analysis of client financial performance under managed care contracts * Assist clients with financial analysis related to changes in third-party payor reimbursement regulations and new models of care * Supervise and coordinate activities of Staff Auditors and cost report preparers * Build and manage client relationships, including practice development activities The qualifications. * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 150 credit hours or Masters in Accounting (or Taxation) is highly preferred. CPA is a plus, but not required. * 5+ years of experience in healthcare reimbursement including Medicare, Medicaid and cost reporting * Strong background in accounting and financial analysis, with the ability to identify variances and identify opportunities to improve processes & procedures * Previous experience with new payment models a plus * Proficient technical skills, including those required to be proficient with financial accounting and reporting systems and MS Office * Ability to exercise extreme confidentiality and effectively communicate with client personnel * Staff members will be required to have updated immunizations to work onsite at healthcare client sites * Ability to travel approximately 25% * Qualified individuals must either reside in the Chicago, Illinois area or be willing to relocate for this opportunity Our difference.
