KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in Technology Enablement for our Consulting practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the application and platform development goals and design effective solutions

  • Advise on good usage of frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and/or RxJava

  • Conduct data design, API design and application component architecture

  • Develop APIs and other microservices

  • Write quality automated tests

  • Mentor junior development staff

Qualifications:

  • Minimum seven years of recent progressive experience developing software using Java

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience

  • Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE and sound knowledge of SQL plus one or more of the following languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, Go, or C++

  • Familiarity with CI/CD & automation and DevOps Gitlab or Azure DevOps experience a plus

  • Experience building applications, services-oriented architecture and microservices, familiarity with jar interdependencies

  • Data Integration Experience, Knowledge of Graph databases is a plus and experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) a plus

  • Ability to travel as needed and applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Colorado Salary Statement:

The salary range displayed is specifically for those potential hires who will work or reside in the state of Colorado if selected for the role. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications (e.g. JD/technology), for example.

Colorado Salary Range: Low: $79100 - High: $160600

We will be asking you to Lead the implementation of test infrastructure and best practices that enable ML and Data engineers to test and deploy scalable, reliable, and cost-effective code into production. Work closely with other engineers to understand features, technical implementation, deployment architecture (AWS) and cost. Collaborate with Product Management, Data Scientists, and Customer Operation to understand customer usage. Develop test plans and suites to effectively ingest and store patient-related data and for data scientists and engineers to access this data with ease. Understand software internals, debug problems using log files, write automated tests and/or user-level automated tools, and fix issues to improve the data engineering systems which process millions of patient records. Influence the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies across the larger organization. Lead by example. Recommend and make buy vs build trade-offs to drive innovation. Communicative - possess an ability to simplify complex concepts, explain AI technologies in ways that can be consumed by non-technical stakeholders Inspiring and empowering - possess influencing skills and natural ability to build trust with machine learning engineers and data scientists Sense of Urgency - bring an agile, let's get things done attitude We are assuming that you have BS degree in Computer Science or related experience 6+ years experience in testing large scale cloud systems, preferably AWS Core development experience as a Software Engineer Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures Strong analytical and problem solving skills Demonstrable experience in writing clean code quickly Command of QA methodologies, life cycle and processes Experience in writing testing frameworks and automation tools Background in test automation using Python and applicable languages.
