Manager, Software Engineering Summary:

Working as an Engineering Manager at Delinea means being a part of a highly capable, collaborative, and agile development team. Delinea is creating awesome software that's used by thousands of IT professionals all over the globe.

This can be a remote/telecommute position based out of your home office. Reports to a Director of Engineering.

What You'll Do:

• Manage a Delinea Sprint team - both the people and the projects that they work on.

• Contribute technically to the Sprint team's projects as a Senior engineer through code, code review, and architecture as needed.

• Work specifically on products related to cloud-hosted and on-premises applications.

• Contribute to the development, design, and architecture.

• This is a technical manager position that includes people management, project management, and software development skills.

• Work closely with Architecture and Staff level engineers to design, prototype, and build new features

What You'll Need:

• 2 years+ experience running an Agile Sprint team or very strong technical and personal skills.

• Experience with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, and web application technologies.

• Strong design skills and full software development lifecycle experience are required.

• 2 years+ experience in building distributed applications that scale.

• Experience working with large volumes of data.

• Experience leveraging APIs and Web Services such as REST, SOAP, and gRPC.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented principles,

• Experience with developing, leveraging, and hosting SaaS and/or cloud-based applications.

• Experience with large codebases and unit testing -- mock frameworks, automation testing.

We'd Love to See:

• Ability to quickly read and understand both new and existing code

• Ability to look at the big picture, come up with great new ideas, and execute those ideas by writing code to make it happen

• Passionate about writing quality code

• Experience with Agile software development methodologies

• Experience with cloud-based technologies (e.g. Azure, AWS)

• Experience with DevOps practices (e.g. continuous integration, continuous deployment)

• A good understanding of security best practices in software development.

• Experience leveraging Open Source projects and standards such as SCIM, Open Policy Agent, Envoy, or spiffe

• A strong desire to make something complex into something simple and easy to use
