Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Software Engineering Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. Essential Functions:

  • Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions

  • Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software

  • Determines computer uses needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and control

  • Designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems

  • Ensures software standards are met

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance as well as Program Special Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Contingency: Position is contingent on Program Award and having an In-scope DoD Secret clearance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 9+ years of experience in software engineering OR a

  • Master's degree in (STEM) with 7+ years in software engineering OR a

  • PhD degree in (STEM) with 5+ years in software engineering

  • Experience developing object oriented software in C/C++ OR Java

  • An active In-scope DoD Secret clearance

  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance as well as Program Special Access and SCI within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in object oriented analysis and design

  • Experience with integrating software and hardware

  • Experience with Open Mission Systems (OMS) architecture and standards

  • Experience with linux/unix operating systems

  • Experience with Agile software development and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo, Fisheye, etc)

  • Experience with Cameo modeling for software design

  • An active, In-scope DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance with SCI

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Cyber Systems Engineering (Functional Homeroom) Section Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida. The selected candidate will lead a team of System Security Engineering (e.g. Cybersecurity, Anti-Tamper (AT), Program Protection) practitioners assigned across our programs and will report to the Specialty Engineering Department Manager. Additionally, the selected candidate will be expected to fulfill a technical statement of work on the E-2 Program. The selected candidate will have experience with Information Assurance or Cybersecurity implementations based on DoD, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Committee on National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI), and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, policies and guidelines.
