Job Title: Manager, SG&A Finance (CCL)

Job Description:

This position is a key contributor to the brand's future success in providing top notch financial transparency and insightful reporting, by providing a strong professional presence, technical expertise and a business/operational focus for the Finance department. This position is accountable for leading a finance team in managing the brand's financial policies, processes, controls, and on-going financial modelling around selling and general & administrative ("SG&A") expenses. This is a challenging opportunity to partner executive leaders across the organization in order to ensure all brand leaders has a clear understanding of SG&A spend they are responsible for. This position will also partner closely with business and HR Leaders and other functions to analyze HR data, offer actionable analysis and reporting to senior management and other leaders to enable them to meet their business objectives through data and analytics. This individual provides leadership and coaching to the direct reports.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop a long-term sustainable financial reporting to provide executive leadership with clear understanding of SG&A spend by major area.

  • Lead and manage the operating plan process, monthly financial forecast process and subsequent reporting to the FP&A consolidation team as it relates to SG&A.

  • Ensure financial management reporting and processes are in place to support the ongoing needs of the business.

  • Lead the development of HR data analysis and visualization tools to provide leadership with people trends and insights for key employee lifecycle events; ability to tell a story through the creative use of data analytics.

  • Assist in developing finance, HR and business presentations and related supporting materials.

  • Participate in the training and development of direct finance team as well as provide coaching, guidance and support to assist the team to reach their full potential.

  • Ensure the team delivers the highest standard of departmental and cross-departmental teamwork and customer service.

  • Oversee and manage spending to be consistent with relevant industry benchmarks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree are preferred.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.

  • MBA preferred but not required (proven strong financial management experience considered in lieu of MBA).

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of financial analysis, data mining and complex financial modeling experience.

  • Experience in Hotel.

  • Travel industry operational areas managing business areas and partnerships.

  • Strong business/financial acumen with ability to diagnose a business and develop a relevant strategy.

  • Experience in developing operating budgets and short/long term forecasts.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.

  • Strong skills in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Exceptional organizational skills.

  • Effective in prioritizing work and following through on commitments.

  • Excellent project management skills and experiences.

  • Demonstrates ability to resolve issues.

  • Ability to adapt easily to change.
