JOB DESCRIPTION

Our FOX Security team provides security services throughout FOX and around the world. We're looking to expand our team with a self-starter who is organized, intuitive, and a collaborative problem-solver with the ability to be effective in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will be a key stakeholder in creating and implementing security operations and crisis management policies, procedures, and training and will be an integral part of our team.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • OPERATIONS

  • Assist in proactively evaluating threats, assessing risks, planning, auditing, and implementing key security initiatives

  • Approach strategic decisions with an emphasis on innovation, communication, and incorporation of current and future needs of the business

  • Effectively manage in house and third-party vendors associated with security services by monitoring performance and contractual obligations

  • Support FOX Investigations as applicable

  • CRISIS MANAGEMENT

  • Manage the development, implementation and continuous refinement of crisis management standards, guidelines, preventative programs and procedures to ensure ongoing maintenance of security protocols

  • Expand and implement emergency first responder programs (e.g., evacuations, active shooter, earthquake, etc.)

  • Facilitate proactive partnership and communication with key corporate leaders to address and develop prevention strategies for high-risk workplace issues

  • Liaise with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery to develop effective working relationships and implement goals, plans, and exercises

  • Design, implement and deliver training programs for Site Managers, EHS Managers, and Local Security Officers at corporate facilities (e.g., table-top and practical field exercises)

  • Potential for domestic and international business travel as necessary

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a field related to security and crisis management

  • At least 5 years experience in an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Familiarity with the Incident Command System (I.C.S.)

  • Must be a creative problem solver with a high level of initiative and a strong sense of personal accountability and consistent follow-through

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Must be able to interact effectively with all levels of management

  • Strong project management and analytical skills

  • Quick to learn and administer security software systems

  • Willing to work a flexible schedule and travel, sometimes on short notice

  • Resiliency and sound judgment in dealing with business and corporate challenges

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BC/DR/CM certification or applicable experience

  • Ability to understand, interpret, analyze, and develop consensus within an organizational climate of diverse operational activities

  • Developed insight into, and appreciation for, new trends and client needs by using data to effectively address complex, unusual, and critical matters and opportunities

  • Diplomatically address issues and present alternative approaches or solutions

  • Experience in assessing risk, mitigating threats and developing management strategies

  • Proactive, well organized, and results-oriented, with the ability to lead and participate in multiple projects simultaneously

The Security Site Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services to an assigned customer. Act as a liaison between customer, Operation Manager and security officers. Supervise site staff, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range. Supervisory Responsibilities * Communicates staffing needs to Operation Manager which may include using the Requisition process, assisting in identifying and interviewing quality candidates * Assures that officers receive appropriate training, developing them in both technical and professional skills; also includes performance management (coaching, counseling, disciplining, performance evaluations, recognition, etc.) * Assures that employee grievances are heard with help from appropriate branch or region HR support employees * Assists with the communication of policies, company announcements and job openings * Provides the basis of a great place to work by treating staff with respect Enforcement of Contract Standards * Helps Operations Manager identify, meet and exceed the needs of the customer * Meets all contractual scheduled hours with a minimum of unbilled overtime * Coordinates and/or conduct site-specific OJT, client specific training and annual refresher training for security personnel * Reconciles security logs against shift responsibilities and patrols; review incident reports prior to submitting to manager and coordinate preliminary investigations * Performs account audits and off-hour visits, completing required documentation * Manages uniforms, equipment, supplies and vehicles utilized at the account, maintaining appropriate inventories and maintenance checklists Administrative Management * Administers site safety programs outlining site-specific hazards for security officers including vehicle / driving safety as appropriate to corporate procedures * Prepared to participate in unemployment hearings * Capably utilizes scheduling and billing software, and to produce reports (such as Scheduling Activity, Training Detail reports, etc.) that require interpretation and action for effective business management * Enforces Allied Universal's policies as outlined in the handbooks and executive memos Physical and Mental Functions: * Stand or walk constantly (for up to an entire shift) on various surfaces (tile, concrete, carpet) * Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift * Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties * Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds * Run as needed * Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping/fingering while using phone, notepad, writing reports, and other administrative tasks * Constant use of eyes (correctable vision to normal level required) to observe, read, interact with public and co-workers, view security monitors;
