Position Summary

The Sales Operations Manager will work closely with Sales, Sales Training, and Marketing to support the Sales Team and facilitate all sales operations-related activities to help meet business objectives.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

  • Work with Internal and External partners to build best in class analytical and CRM sales tools.

  • Manage the CRM tools and other Sales Operations field tools including being the primary liaison with vendors and the subject matter expert for questions from the field-based team members.

  • Responsible for leading Fleet Management by developing, monitoring and refining all fleet operations.

  • Work closely with Sales Training on the development and roll-out of educational materials, sales reports and new systems.

  • Partner with the US Sales Leadership Team in preparation and review of Key Performance metrics, Business plans, Quarterly Business Reviews, Customer presentations

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in the Sales process. Work closely with the field to identify the opportunities, develop an action plan, monitor execution and report out performance.

  • Drive the reporting process to provide accurate and timely reports to the field team and address specific questions in an effective manner.

  • Manage the development process of key sales force effectiveness metrics to be shared internally with the Sales organization and the Zogenix executive team

  • Work directly with Sales Leadership and field personnel in providing professional and timely sale operational support.

  • Ensure adherence to equipment, travel & expense policies and compliance with Sunshine Act Reporting.

  • Responsible for proper SOP documentation related to duties and responsibilities within the operations and support teams.

  • Lead any special projects with the goal of improving sales productivity

Core Competencies, Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • PC literacy required; MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Communication & Interpersonal Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively collaborate in a dynamic environment

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced small company environment with minimal direction and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well within a matrix environment, and aptitude in establishing and maintaining relationships across the organization.

  • Proven project management skills to execute multiple projects with tight deadlines, including attention to detail and follow-through

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience

  • A BA/BS and at least 5 years' sales operations or related experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industries.

  • Biotech and/or pharmaceutical launch experience in US market is required.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and service levels.

TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Regularly required to operate standard office equipment (personal computer, photocopy machine, etc.)

  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.

  • Regularly required to sit for long periods of time, and occasionally stand and walk.

  • Regularly required to use hands to operate computer and other office equipment.

  • Close vision required for computer usage.

  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, climb and lift up to 20 pounds.
