The Manager of Sales for the BB&T LIS Core Client Team is a unique opportunity to operate a direct-to-consumer sales center that focuses on BB&T clients throughout the bank's footprint. This highly visible role, in a rapidly growing division of the company, will offer significant exposure to senior management as well as interaction with Retail partners within BB&T Bank. The ideal candidate will have experience as a successful call center leader, supporting insurance sales.
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Increase process efficiency and deliver additional team revenue
Manage the daily and monthly activities of the sales team to produce consistent results
Perform call monitoring, call coaching and regularly scheduled performance reviews
Coach team members on sales process and techniques to increase revenue
Report key metrics and analysis to senior management on a monthly basis
Manage BB&T LIS's digital channel through collaboration with IT, Marketing and Carriers
Collaborate with sales support, case management, and policy holder services to create the BB&T Perfect Client Experience
Cultivate relationships with carriers partners and identify carriers who complement the platform
Develop lead generation campaigns with the Retail Activity Manager and standardized messaging to clients and internal partners
Utilize salesforce for activity tracking and reporting, collaborating with Support Services to identify efficiencies and enhancements.
Share best practices with other direct to consumer call centers within the broader Crump organization.
Required Skills and Competencies:

Demonstrated sales management experience in fast paced environment
Two years of call center management experience, preferred
Two years of proven retail life insurance sales success
Active life insurance license in at least one state
Working knowledge of modern life insurance sales tools and techniques
Ability to learn Excel and advanced reporting techniques
Highly motivated, entrepreneurial personality
Bilingual in Spanish
