Manager (RN) - Trauma
What you will do in this role:
Responsible for overall management of the Trauma process improvement, injury prevention, and education.
Responsible for Trauma Program Manager daily Kronos editing (by 10:00 daily) and to be a back-up for Kronos editor for the department.
Responsible for trauma registry data and QA activities that comply with State and national guidelines to include the state trauma rules and regulations, the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma Optimal Guidelines, and Joint Commission criteria.
Meets all requirements of The Trauma Program Manage at a Level II Trauma Center set by the state of Texas and the ACS.
Assist with development and monitoring of the budget.
Supervises preparation of ongoing statistical and financial reports.
Facilitates the development of the measurement and reporting of quality outcomes. Anticipates future requirements for maintaining expertise in area.
Stays current with industry trends and innovations.
At least three to five years of Emergency Department or ICU clinical experience.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Registered Nurse, BSN preferred. Educational requirements should be appropriate for meeting age-specific needs of all patients.
Applicant must have or obtain Texas licensure with the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Course(BLS or BCLS) and certification
American Heart Association or American Red Cross Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and certification
CNML certification within first year of hire, unless currently certified then needs to be maintained.
