Requisition 10858: Manager Risk Management
Administration of the Corporate Risk Management Program to effectively protect the assets of the Corporation and its subsidiaries and affiliates from catastrophic and fortuitous loss.as part of the Law Department whose mission is to: 1) provide quality legal advice timely; 2) position NS for favorable outcomes; 3) develop our people; and 4) be cost effective.
Administration of Norfolk Southern's primary, excess, and other miscellaneous insurance programs.
Administration of Norfolk Southern's master surety and bond program along with letters of credit.
Identify and evaluate Norfolk Southern's exposures to risk arising out of its interaction with third parties (lessees, contractors, suppliers, and customers), and reduce or eliminate these risks through negotiations with these parties.
Develop and negotiate insurance specifications for contracts entered into by Norfolk Southern.
Supervise the administration of the Risk Management Department's certificate of insurance monitoring system.
Assist the Director - Risk Management, Casualty Claims Department, and Law Department in claims settlement negotiations.
Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the Risk Management operating budget.
Assist in the management of General American Insurance Company and General Security Insurance Company (NS' captive insurance companies).
Ensure effective administration of the record coordination & retention compliance for respective area of responsibility.
Job Related Experience:
Minimum Level: 1 year
Preferred Level: 2-5 years
Required Level: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Level: Master's Degree (BBA, MBA)
Preferred Majors:Business Administration, Finance
