POSITION SUMMARY: The Nursing Manager of the Inpatient Rehab Units will be responsible for the clinical and financial outcomes of designated clinical unit/units.
Acts as a representative of the Director of Nursing and Administration. Collaborates with Director of Nursing and Nursing Unit Supervisor in ensuring competent, cost effective patient care.

Education Required: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Education Preferred: Masters of Science in Nursing.
Experience Required: Requires a minimum of three years experience as a charge nurse, care coordinator, or supervisor.
Documented experience demonstrating leadership, management, communication, and interpersonal skills. .
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Establishes priorities and makes independent decisions of a complex nature. Interfaces directly with administration, physicians, public, staff, and all members of the health care team.
Represents unit and administration. . Must be able to demonstrate understanding of HCA's and St.
David's "Patients First" safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures. Recognizes that variables such as age, race, nationality, culture, disease-causing vulnerabilities, socioeconomic factors affect the patient populations under their care as defined in the unit's provision on of care statements. Uses interventions appropriate to these factors (e.g., interpreter, dietary preferences, social service consult, etc.) Expected to abide by all policies and procedures and inquire when needed for clarification.
Required: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas or identified compact state. Valid Basic Cardiac Life Support certification with specialization for healthcare providers.
Preferred: Certified in specialty area.
