This position is responbile to:
Ensure that all Services are performed in a cost and time efficient manner, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and zero service failure.
Assist with the MACS3 development and implementation in the region.
Assist HO & RO in the development of new and alternative services and schedules.
Assist in training the Planners at Caribbean Planning Center and Transshipment Dept. at KIN when needed.
Interact with RO Cost Control Dept. and review, analyze costs of operations, identify trends and determine ways to reduce same while improving efficiency.
Make recommendations for cost saving measures.
Assist HO in legal matters when required, related to specific events in ports.
Liaise as needed with VSA partners and Slot charterers.
Liaise with HO Operations & Cargo Flow, RO Logistics and Cargo Flow Depts. to ensure vsl optimization.
Interact with RO Procurement Dept. when required and assist with input towards Contract Negotiations.
Interact with Trade Dept. to best assist and align needs of Trade, Cargo Flow, Log and Ops.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities required:
Minimum 6-8 years industry experience required
Strong Verbal and written communication skills.
Must possess good Terminal and Vessel operations Knowledge
Driven and motivated to aggressively pursue positive results.
Outstanding problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task with ease.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Word, Excel, Power Point Outlook and MACS3.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities prefferred:
Industry experience in Marine operations preferred.
Vessel stowage planning and marine officer preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Business related field is preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
