Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead design phase of development by evaluating project requirements and available options in order to identify potential problem areas and coordinate with developers to determine applicable technologies to employ.

  • Manage the development and deployment of new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications.

  • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and product/system owners in the testing of new software applications.

  • Ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, resolve systemic issues, and streamline operations.

  • Provide technical leadership to project managers and developers working on project teams.

  • Liaise with Information Services and DevOps teams to assist with allocating platforms on which the developed solutions will be deployed.

  • Cultivate, disseminate, and enforce functional policies, procedures, and quality assurance best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Computer science, computer engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3 plus years of experience in software development management.

Job Summary:

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all activities related to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of software development best practices to manage the development team, and in concert with project management resources, development projects as assigned by the Director.
