Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of radiology department as set forth by the Facility CEO. Provides oversight and leadership as needed to create exceptional patient experience and working environment for staff and providers. Position has oversight of the quality, service, cost and operational integrity of all radiology services at this location. Ensures compliance with patient care quality standards as it relates to the care provided. Assures competency of all personnel. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while maintaining compliance with all ACR, MQSA/FDA and State of North Carolina within quality and regulatory guidelines. Observes strict confidentiality and follows all HIPAA laws in dealing with patients, families, and co-workers.

Essential Accountabilities:

• Assists in establishing a strategic plan/vision for the hospital radiology department that supports Mission Health's strategic plan.

• Assists in managing departmental operations to ensure area meets or exceeds the expectations of customers.

• Oversees daily operations to ensure processes are efficient and effective in meeting department goals and objectives.

• Oversees the financial operations for the department.

• Provides departmental leadership through people who have a direct impact on the department's area of responsibility.

• Collaborates with clinical and management stakeholders regarding system radiology initiatives.

• Participates in leadership growth and development.

• Supports department operations and coworkers by completing other duties as assigned or requested.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, or related field, or, significant clinical and leadership experience.

• Preferred Education: Master's Degree health administration or business

• Required License: Radiologic Technologist Certification & BCLS

• Required Experience: Three years of technical and managerial experience in Diagnostic Radiology. Computer skills including work processing, spreadsheets, Internet and Intranet software, email. Demonstrated ability to manage clinical operations, manages projects, and leads and develops staff. Strong operations, communication, financial, and customer service skills required.

• Preferred Experience: Diagnostic Radiology service development and/or management, or similar experience in both a hospital and ambulatory environments.
