The position serves as a champion of quality and patient safety throughout the Ministry. Works closely with the Chief Medical Officer/Chief Quality Officer/Chief Nursing Officer to provide leadership for hospital-wide efforts to continuously improve the safety, effectiveness, efficiency, patient-centeredness, equity and timeliness of health care service to all patients. Helps lead/manage quality and safety initiatives to achieve outstanding performance on key, nationally standardized metrics of quality and safety.

Required qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education/experience.
Equivalent or further degree in health care or a related component.
License or certification in healthcare-related field (e.g., ART, RRA, CCS, RN, CPHQ) upon hire
5 years Experience in healthcare or quality management.
Experience with PC and mainframe systems including abstracting and reporting functions.
Experience in various PC software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, graphic presentation and flowcharting.
