QRA Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction over multiple job families or areas of expertise within the QRA function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

  • 8+ years experience in related field, preferred

  • Certifications by an accredited association would be an additional asset

What is expected of you and others at this level

  • Ensures quality management system requirements are effectively established and maintained

  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality Procedures, Laws and Regulations of the applicable markets

  • Promotes awareness of regulatory requirements throughout the organization

  • Establishes and maintains quality assurance programs, procedures, and controls

  • Ensures that performance and quality of products conform to established company and regulatory standards

  • Hires, directs and supports resources to achieve Quality Assurance objectives

  • Generates development plans for staff

  • Oversees the qualification and validation for all products and processes including quality control support activities ensuring compliance to standards

  • Acts as advisor to subordinate supervisors or staff to help meet established schedules or resolve technical or operational problems

  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with preproduction and production procedures in cooperation with other manufacturing managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs

  • Oversees activities related to external and internal audits to assure compliance with company, state, federal, and international standards

  • Supports risk analysis derived from non-conformity of production process or quality management system

  • Oversees creation of quality area metrics and monitor situations, projects, corrections and improvements

  • Approves strategies for implementing design changes or product line modifications and adequacy of design and test results

  • Maintains Corrective Action review process for issues related to production

  • Ensures all such products meet and/or exceed company and local government standards

  • Provides quality control support to supplier quality assurance as requested or needed

  • Oversees quality assurance auditing of production areas and systems

  • Reviews audit findings and make recommendations for corrective action

  • Monitors supplier quality related activities to assure risk mitigation and corrective action is implemented where appropriate

  • Escalates quality system and product related issues to next level management

  • Submits and administers budget schedules and performance standards according to pre-established commitments

  • For employees with supervisory responsibilities, ensure that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition

  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

JOB OVERVIEW The Sr. SAP Production Planning & Quality Lead will be a site lead at our Chicopee, MA manufacturing facility and responsible for business system solutions for Callaway Golf's Global Supplier & Demand planning, production control and execution solutions in the areas such as PP, Quality, PM and Warehousing. As the functional site lead, this role will represent the site's needs within our global IT organization. The position is responsible for analyzing highly complex business problems to be solved with automated system and providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meets business objectives. Must have superior business relationship skills and production functional knowledge with change management experience. Our facility is going through a technology evolution and this role will be key to many of these initiatives. This role will be an independent onsite resource who can work in a matrix organization to deliver excellent results. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Lead the design, configuration, implementation and support of SAP medium size functional solutions. * As a member of configuration team: work independently to design and configure solutions to meet the business requirements in the related areas such as PP, Quality, PM and Warehousing. * Manage all phases of the project life cycle including analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and post-production support/maintenance. * Assist in the development and enforcement of best practices to deliver stable, reliable and highly available solutions. * Produce and peer review technical designs and architectures for development projects. * Demonstrate effective and collaborative communication with internal team members and Business Partners. * Coordinate project tasks and ensure accurate estimates are provided for completion of business solutions. * Research and debug potential performance or other system anomalies (i.e. demonstrate superior problem resolution). * Create and compile technical documentation including: unit, integration, and acceptance test plans, support documentation and end user documentation for delivered solutions and other tasks. * Develop and enforce day-to-day support policies and procedures. * Communicate status of projects and initiatives to management. * Manage multiple projects/reporting solutions for multiple business areas. TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) * Demonstrate strong analytical skills. Ability to work directly with business analysts to translate complex functional design into technical specifications. Able to grasp requirements quickly and anticipate potential future requirements. * Advanced business process knowledge across many areas with ability to provide context to requirements. * Ability to facilitate conversations about best practices and SAP solution architectures to enable best practices. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to conduct formal and informal presentations and workshops with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business. * In-depth knowledge of configuration, development, multi-tiered architecture and cross-functional integration. * Strong knowledge of SAP Production Planning (PP), Quality, PM, Warehousing and solution experience. * Ability to recognize and minimize design dependencies between projects. * Excellent working knowledge of upgrade processes and all aspects of system testing. * Able to work extended or non-standard hours to support business needs and project deadlines as needed. * Diverse background with broad knowledge of solution platforms, custom development, and package implementations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Bachelor's degree in computer science or related area, or equivalent additional work experience required. * Strong knowledge of SAP processes and supporting business processes. * Minimum 3 years of SAP functional experience with SAP suite, other areas include Purchasing and Production Planning.
