Manager, Quality & Continuous Improvement (1804519) Beachwood, OH Where the Chemistry Happens This position is responsible for developing, administering and maintaining the Quality Assurance, Quality Management, and Continuous Improvement Functions for Construction Chemicals in the US and Canada.

N-EBN in this region is comprised of ~20 sites and 4 main business lines (Admixture Systems, Construction Systems, Watson Bowman Acme and Colorbiotics). This position ensures that systems are in place to achieve N-EBN Quality Policies, Procedures and Objectives, as well as Continuous Improvement activities using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies. The Quality and Continuous Improvement (QCI) Manager must ensure resources and systems are in placeto effectively measureand analyze trends, as well as manage quality activities to continually improve using ISO 9001, SAP Nonconformance management, Cost of Poor Quality characterization, and various quality improvement approaches. The incumbent must have the ability to work across the top levels of the N-EBN organization to implement initiatives needed to drive continuous improvement, and be able to communicate our systems, capabilities and philosophies to all levels of the organization, and customers.

The incumbent must be able to periodically present updates to the N-EBN RBU Leadership Team. Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent Formula for Success Establishes quality metrics to track and drive continuous improvement. Provides team leadership and training for manufacturing, business, and laboratory staff in accordance with company quality policies, ISO 9001, and nonconformance protocols.

Reviews, revises, and maintains protocol and documentation pertaining to the RBU ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems. Leads the RBU ISO:9001 efforts in all aspects, including the areas of nonconformance management and corrective/preventive action programs. Conducts annual Sr.

Management Review for ISO program and follows-up with action plans. Communicates with key customers in the business segmentsto promote quality and to address nonconformances and corrective actions. Coordinates and managesquality management related activities at all N-EBN manufacturing and business sites, including internal and external audits.

Takes an active role to resolve issues. Has dotted line matrix organization responsibility for manufacturing site QA Labs. Supervises the NCM Coordinator, Continuous Improvement Manager and Master Black Belts Maintain focus at all times on environmental, health and safety aspects from planning through execution of tasks assigned.

Utilize Management of Change (MOC) to assure timely communication and training of process related changes to affected personnel. As required, participate in any process safety related incident investigations and completion of assigned action items in a timely manner. These tasks may be required as dictated by your duties.

A patient-focused, specialized rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced a loss of function due to an injury or illness such as brain and spinal cord injury, stroke, burns, amputation and multiple trauma. At UH Rehabilitation Hospital in our goal is to restore lives, helping patients regain their independence so they can return home. Job Summary: The DCQPI assumes responsibility and accountability for the hospital-wide Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement program. The DCQPI will assist the CEO/leadership and Medical Staff to establish priorities for Performance Improvement. He/she ensures that disciplines in the hospital work collaboratively to plan and implement Performance Improvement activities. The DCQPI will focus on measuring, analyzing and trending information in order to improve outcomes. He/she will assure ongoing monitoring of performance to ensure that improvements are sustained. The DCQPI will direct and assist in compliance with federal and state regulations and accreditation standards. Responsibilities: * Provides leadership and oversight of a comprehensive, efficient and integrated organization wide Continuous Quality Performance Improvement program. * Measures and assesses performance through collection, analyses, and trending of data. * Focuses on processes and systems to improve performance. * Directs, facilitates, and reports on all aspects of services relating to risk management, patient safety, and employee health. * Investigates factors contributing to adverse outcomes in order to improve processes and systems. Encourages reporting on risk reduction strategies in an atmosphere which minimizes blame or retaliation. Fosters environment to reduce unanticipated adverse events and/or outcomes. * Responsible for education of Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement and additional hospital-wide education and training. * Responsible for nursing education, in-services and training. * Directs the functions and operation of the hospital-wide infection control (IC) program including policies of surveillance, management of job-related unprotected exposures to infectious diseases, concurrent review of records for infections and other indicators of quality; reports findings to leadership, Medical Executive Committee, the Board of Managers and other committees as appropriate. * Responsible for education of Continuous Quality and Performance Improvement to hospital and medical staff. * Annually reviews hospital wide plans for the functions of IC and CQPI and establishes goals and objectives for the next year. * Acts as a liaison to local health officials, coordinates inspections and accreditation reviews with state and other regulatory agencies. * Demonstrates knowledge of growth, development, and the aging process for the planning and delivery of age-appropriate care. * Other duties as assigned.
