Manager, Quality Assurance

The role of Manager, Quality Assurance contributes to HighPoint through management of the overall TQC-related QA call monitoring productivity, targeted call evaluations, examination and verification of the analysts, and directs the members of these teams to ensure the TQC contract terms are met. This role also directs members of these teams to focus on not only the identification of areas of improvement within TQC-related products and processes, but also with the development of the recommendations that would support those improvement opportunities.


Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and two years related experience and/or training; or three to five years equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Ability to build and manage customer, vendor, and internal team relationships.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple project timelines.


  • Manage QA production to meet and or exceed the standard Statement of Work targets for independent quality evaluations.

  • Manage the creation of QA processes and procedures.

  • Manage the internal and external calibration process in accordance with current QCM Internal Calibration SOP.

  • Develop various reporting to track and drive QA programs and initiatives.

  • Directly manage members of the QA staff.

  • Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports.

  • Support the professional development of team members, including ongoing training.

  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of QA associates.


  • A minimum of monthly one-on-one sessions with your manager.

  • Company-wide yearly trainings required.

  • Yearly update of resume to aid in Business Development opportunities.

  • Role-specific training.

  • Contract-specific training.

Responsibilities The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will understand the customer and corporate needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes. This position supports a large-scale IT program supporting the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). We are looking for a person that is interested in improving the quality of healthcare nationwide. * Establish quality procedures, standards and specifications * Define quality procedures in conjunction with delivery teams * Conduct process and product audits in support of ISO 9001 and CMMI for development and services practices * Support the maintenance of core documented processes and procedures * Work with all program units to promote quality achievement and performance improvement in support of NewWave's quality objectives * Provide training quality plans, processes, procedures, and templates. * Document, monitor, and report statuses of corrective and preventive actions * Support Operating units with quality issues and improvements * Participate in reviews, walkthroughs, assessments, formal quality audits, and inspections * Identify impediments to quality and project execution; recommend corrective action items * Promote/support process improvement initiatives * Works with our customer and the program team to ensure deliver of a quality solution. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree and/or at least 5 years of experience in the field or a related area * 5+ years of experience working in a quality assurance or PPQA role * Experience with CMMI for Development and Services to include ML3 and ML4 * Understand how to apply quality standards to software and services * Familiarity with tools, concepts, and methodologies of quality management * Understanding of Agile Software Development/Engineering environments * Excellent analytical abilities * Ability to effectively multi-task Preferred * Experience with LEAN / Six Sigma, and/or PMI methodologies a plus * ISO 9001 * ASQ Certification Technical * Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) * Microsoft Project * Microsoft Visio * SharePoint Residency Requirement * Must have lived in the United States at least 3 out of 5 years.
