Job Description:

The Quality Assurance Manager Center Operations assesses compliance with Bright Horizons policies & procedures at the center/school level, reinforces best practices and supports training efforts within Operations and cultivates and maintains collaborative relationships throughout Bright Horizons.

What you will be doing:

  • Have an understanding of the philosophy underlining the role of quality assurance within the organization. Develop a subject matter expertise on the elements of the Quality Audit (QA) including an understanding of the processes, tools and timelines. Develop the ability to serve in a consultative role to Regional Managers, Center Directors, Principals and Heads of School.

  • Introduce the selected Regional Managers, Center Directors, Principals and Heads of School to the audit approach and what they might expect during the audit process

  • Coordinate logistics for visits to selected centers/schools

  • Evaluate the compliance of the QA elements at the selected centers/schools

  • Provide immediate feedback to regional manager and center/school management at the time of the center/school visit

  • Prepare and deliver a visit summary and audit report to the center/RM/DVP that identifies areas of non-compliance and risk in a format that is consumable & actionable.

  • Support the summation and communication of results/trends/observations noted across U.S. regions

  • Support the development of new best practices and the corresponding roll-outs to Regional Managers, Center Directors, Principals and Heads of School

  • Respond to inquiries from Regional Managers, Center Directors, Principals and Heads of School relative to best practices

  • Respond to an immediate need to assess the effectiveness of operations at a particular center/school, as requested by supervisor

  • Respond to invitations to provide in-service trainings at Regional Manager and Center Director meetings within the designated areas of support

  • Support the development of training programs for Regional Managers, Center Directors, Principals and Heads of School

  • Participate as an instructor in training programs for Regional Managers, Center Directors, Principals and Heads of School

  • Assist in the development /refinement of QAA audit programs, new value-added initiatives and other project planning

  • Support and participate in other value-added initiatives and projects as they may arise.

Job Requirements

What we hope you will bring to the role:

  • B.A. in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or a related field required, must be detail oriented, and have a strong understanding of company policies and procedures.

  • Minimum seven years of experience in an ECE center leadership or director role with multi-site experience preferred.

  • Must possess strong understanding of California Labor and Wage laws.

  • Strong program skills required including a thorough knowledge developmentally appropriate practice.

  • Willingness to travel a minimum of 50% to 75% of the time, depending on territory.

  • Excellent customer service and collaboration skills required, in addition to being comfortable and willing to give critical feedback while supporting managers in achieving desired results.

  • Must be a team player and also able to work independently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, project and organizational skills required.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality a must. Ideal candidate will be action and solution-oriented.

  • Ability to ensure a quality and reliable end-product presentable to various levels of management

  • Willingness to develop a healthy professional skepticism as well as sensitivity to risk.

Qualifications: What you bring to the team: You have - * Bachelor's Degree in computer science or 4 years equivalent experience. * 2+ years experience testing web-based software in an agile environment. * Knowledge of SDLC and QA methodologies. * Experience creating and running automated regression tests. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Experience debugging web pages using Chrome dev tools. * Ability and temperament to create thorough test cases in an agile environment with multiple projects and products.
