What we do:

The Trade Desk seeks an experienced individual to oversee the management of our newly integrated Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system. This pivotal role involves leading a team dedicated to facilitating smooth change management processes and optimizing the utilization of our latest tool, Coupa, and fostering effective communication channels and streamlined operations. As the primary point of contact, you will lead change initiatives throughout the organization, collaborating closely with different departments, stakeholders, and various business units, including accounting (Accounts Payable, General Ledger, FP&A, Tax, etc.), IT procurement, Marketing, Product Engineering, Workplace Services, Real Estate, etc. Your responsibilities will extend to fostering cross-functional collaboration across all business units, adapting to evolving needs, and continuously learning and refining strategies to maximize system efficiency while addressing immediate challenges stemming from process modifications and system intricacies.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, a proven track record in change management, and the ability to navigate complex organizational structures. Adaptability, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to driving process improvement initiatives across the company are essential attributes for success in this position.

What you'll do:

  • Maintain purchasing and Procure-to-Pay system instructions, as well as provide training and guidance to ensure maximum compliance.

  • Develop and effectively manage purchasing goals in alignment with overall Company goals and monitor performance through a set of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).

  • Track and report on purchasing KPI's against defined targets designed to increase efficiencies, enable transparency, and deliver a high degree of customer satisfaction across purchasing services.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively on change management with suppliers, internal customers and departments.

  • Originate new purchasing concepts and innovative approaches for the organization; develop purchase-to-pay skills of supporting team and provide performance review reporting.

  • Awareness of applicable laws and regulations within the purchasing realm.

  • Oversee the management of our travel tool, ensuring optimization of the booking process and adherence to relevant guidelines.

  • React quickly to new technologies and business needs.

  • Attract, hire, develop top purchasing professionals.

  • Establish and communicate clear goals and objectives.

  • Track results, review regularly and provide feedback.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 5+ years proven purchasing experience with consistent track record of managing purchasing and procurement processes, budgets, suppliers, and internal customers.

  • Knowledge of procurement software and tools. Ideally, relevant experience in a Technology company, or Procure-to-Pay system.

  • Strong project management skills and results oriented with an ability to recognize strategic direction and effectively champion initiatives.

  • Ability to gather relevant data, complete analysis, and make sound business decisions.

  • Excellent customer service, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with high attention to detail.

  • Experience working with multiple teams with different stakeholders and objectives.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$84,600-$155,100 USD
