Swedish Medical Group is looking for a Manager of Provider Contracting Services to work at the Swedish Bank of America Bldg in Seattle, WA.
The Manager of Provider Contracting Services reporting to the Ambulatory Chief Operating Officer, the Manager, Provider Contracting Program is responsible for provider contracting as well as all other provider based contracts for SHS. This position will provide administrative support to the organization, by providing a continuum of services responsive to patient, provider and strategic program needs.
This position will manage the Provider Affairs department. Works closely with medical and administrative staff.
In this position you will:
Transform and Improve the Contracting Lifecycle: Provide oversight of full provider contracting lifecycle and work to streamline and reduce inefficient processes.
Investigate and make recommendations when issues are identified. Oversight of contracting flow through creation, negotiation, review and signatory processes. Escalates delays. Communicates with internal owners and external provider groups.
Create enduring alignment with physicians and clinicians: Responsible for triaging, monitoring, and escalating all provider contracts.
Involved in drafting SHS Offers of Employment to Physicians, Employment Agreements, Professional Service Agreements, Medical Director Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, Letters of Agreement, Amendments, and Service Agreements. Ownership of development of new policies and procedures related to Provider contracting, such as those related to outside activities and income. Provides guidance in contracting process to SHS Physicians and Directors of Operation.
Thrive under new reimbursement models: Develops new SHS contract templates within MediTract and monitors contract index.
Supports SHS, Admin and Senior Mgmt. Works in close cooperation with PSJH Legal, Provider Solutions, HR, SHS PMs, Physician Recruiter, Physician Concierge, and Medical Staff Office. Assists in work related to the assessment of new compensation models and provider organizational structure changes/updates.
Lead High Performing Team: Utilize leadership skills to manage, develop and expand skill set of Provider Affairs department caregivers.
Supervise work product and provide development feedback. Establish annual performance objectives and department goals.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, healthcare, business, legal or related field
Three years Experience in a healthcare setting with specific experience with state and federal regulations required.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Two years Project management experience in a health care setting (eg, business administration, coding, billing, or relevant medical/clinical experience); or commensurate education and experience.
Licensed Juris Doctorate preferable. Paralegal ideal.
Law Degree from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association
