Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Program Manager 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Operations organization supporting a critical, classified Integrated Program Team (IPT) in Clearfield, Utah.

This IPT leader is responsible for the cost, schedule, quality, safety and technical performance of a major program element. This position will partner with the Vice President / Director, Program Build IPT, to oversee composite fabrication / assembly activities.

This position will lead a matrixed organization that includes composite fabricators and production support teams (Engineering, ME, IE, Quality, etc). This role will be the primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in U.S. government contracts, aerospace manufacturing, and/or project management; OR a Master's degree and 6 years of related professional/military experience that includes a background in U.S. government contracts, aerospace manufacturing, and/or project management

  • Prior experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager (Demonstrated ability to manage utilizing EVMS)

  • Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goals

  • Active Department of Defense secret or higher clearance with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years

  • Ability to obtain and maintain special program access

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong manufacturing background in Composites fabrication and assembly

  • Demonstrated ability to established and lead a multi-disciplined Team aligned to cost and efficiency improvements

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of leadership inclusive of internal and external audiences; Excellent communication stills

Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
